Wild Man (The Smith Brothers Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 203 ratings

The first time I saw Beau Smith’s face, I fell for him…hard. There’s just a few tiny problems. He lives wild. I’ve never left the city. He wants a wife who can handle his harsh world. I just want him.

He’s been burnt in the past, and he won’t let me in easily, but there’s no denying the spark between us, so intense it could set the woods on fire. And with every hot and dirty night we spend together, I can feel his walls crumbling.

But once he realizes I’m not what he signed up for, that I lied to him about who I am—will he still want me, or will I lose my wild man forever?

    Holy hot twin brother!
Beau Smith is the twin brother of Hank from the first book, Mountain Man.

The sexy, hot AF, bearded wild man needs a wife. He wants her compatible and competent, but minus the love part. Love is a deal-breaker. His mother is the reason for that. She up and left when he was very young. So he believes removing any love from the equation will solve any problems of a future broken heart.

Freya and Beau have been chatting back and forth for the past 6 months after meeting online. She decides to surprise him with a visit one day. She knows he isn’t looking for love, but it’s too late for her, she has already fallen for him. Maybe she can get him to reciprocate those feelings by doing all the things his checklist requires? You know...the ones she fibbed about already knowing how to do?

City girl & wild mountain man.
    What could possibly go wrong?

Freya turns up the charm, and tries super hard to be successful and good at cooking and fishing and hunting and hiking. aka: Beau’s required checklist items

Watching her try to be convincing was entertaining. Watching him realize she had no idea what she was doing, but still allowing her to carry on was adorable.

Even though he’s a large, beast of a man, he’s so very sweet and caring. And also very naughty. And a dirty talker? Hell yes!

This was a quick and steamy and satisfying read for me and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

This is the second book in this series and it's about Hank's twin, Beau. Beau is looking for a wife, a wife who can cook, clean, hunt, fish, and have his babies. But, though he wants a wife, he is not interested in the love part. Freya seems to fit the bill, they have been talking for 6 months and when she shows up at his house a week early, things get off to a rocky start. Beau soon realizes that Freya is not what she has portrayed herself to be, but does that really matter? Read and see.

Short, steamy, and sweet story. It hits all the right buttons and is just the thing you need to escape the stress of your day. I really enjoyed getting to know Beau and Freya, I just wish there was more. All in all a good read!

This book is the perfect follow on from Mountain Man, the perfect amount of sexy and drama. The way Sherilee writes really draws you into the book making it hard to put it down!

Freya Thomas has found the perfect man in Beau Smith. Now, if only she can convince him to believe the same about her. Beau is looking for a suitable wife to live in the mountains with him and that kind of wife would be able to handle the harsh conditions and solitude. He's not expecting love, but Freya doesn't see anything else beyond love that could be more important, even if she's not cut from the same cloth of a nature girl. The city girl and the mountain man combo was a quick and easy read with steam and sweetness mixed in.

What can I say... like with Hank; I want a mountain man or at least a man with a beard and bulging biceps. Beau IMO is very different from Hank. With Hank I wanted to cry because of his naivety... he’s so sensitive. Beau is jaded but he seems to soften enough to let himself find love. Hurray to Sheri and her stellar work.

Wild Man is the second book in Sherilee Gray’s Smith Brothers’ series. In this book, readers meet the other Smith twin, Beau. Unlike his brother, Hank, Beau lived several years off the Smith mountain. He uses the internet to find himself a girl, Freya Thomas. She comes from a dysfunctional family. Freya and Beau connect through a legitimate online dating site. Struggling with her current chaos, Freya leaves a week earlier for her visit with Beau. Both are emotionally wounded. They are forced to face their demons. Will they be able to find happiness?

This is the second book; I have read by Ms. Gray. I enjoy her writing style. Her use of dialog is strong and concise. Partnered with her skill in creating dynamic lead characters, I found myself captivated by this plot. I a looking forward to reading other books in this series. Way to go, Ms. Gray!

5.0 out of 5 stars Who doesn’t want a wild man?

Wild man is the second book in the Smith Brothers series and feature Beau, Hank’s identical twin. Beau has been building his house for the last four years and hasn’t been with a woman since he decided what his future would entail. He met Freya on a dating site and they have talked as much as possible getting to know one another and she is now in his backyard six months later, to see if they are compatible.

Great read, loved this story it was refreshing much like Hank’s story and sweet!
