    Noel was feeling low. He had lost his family in an auto accident. If that wasn't enough he was presented with papers showing that his dad and brother had embezzled from their company forcing them into bankruptcy. Clarence's interruption lead him to Mary and her boarding house and clearer thinking.
    As a!ways Mimi weaves a wonderful story with Characters you enjoy reading about.

    The love story of Noel and Mary. It's the next generation of "It's A Wonderful Life" and Clarence is saving the grandson, Noel. He just learn that his family was kill in a car accident and his world has crash. Clarence sent him to want Mary and her lost teens. Can he save them and himself? Great story.

    I enjoyed this Christmas Time Romance. It certainly had a lot of ups and downs in it and the similarity to the classic Christmas story are pretty clear at the beginning. However, the bad guys are clearly different with a surprising ending. And yes, Clarence the Angel is there. I voluntarily chose to review this and gave it a 4.5* rating.

    I really liked this story! It seems things are different than they really are! From a ton of despair and a little heavenly help happiness is found. Despair is changed to happiness and joy and people are helped! Not going to say more to not spoil things. I hope in other books I can see how things go for other characters in this book! So ready to read more books of the same. Happy Reading!

    This would've been a good book if it was longer and went into more detail about the criminals and Noel and Mary's love story.

    Love happened to fast and there was no character build up. I had to reread parts just for it to make sense. Without the character background it was hard to be attached to any of the characters or feel anything about the book.

    Also there is no need for a person to kiss another person hours after they just met without making sure the other person is okay with it. Make it make sense.

    It starts with tragedy. Despair. Depression. I read this book as part of the box set called Love, Christmas - Movies you love. But this story wasn’t very lovey or Christmassy. And I didn’t like it. I had such high expectations of this story! I was intrigued by the blurb. But something about the way the characters conversed with each other didn’t ring true. For example: the way that Josie’s background was worked into the conversation was forced. People don’t talk like that in real life! But my biggest objection was that LOVE wasn’t the subject of this story. That was CRIME. It was gritty, dark, full of malice. I don’t DO dark. I don’t like reading about threats and violence. The story was mainly about trying to stop criminals and trying to prove someone being framed. The romantic part of the story was subordinate to that. It was only: Noel and Mary see each other and boom they are in love and it’s already a given. Insta-love. No love-suspense whatsoever. And yes, the story worked towards the light. And yes, it had a HEA, but the main focus of that was also NOT love, but something else. This author was never able to touch my heart and I just didn’t FEEL it. I’m so disappointed now.
