Samantha Wilde resides in western Canada and has a special love for the Canadian Rockies. As a child, she lived in British Columbia and some of her favorite memories revolve around being a 90s kid with the mountains as her backdrop.

When she’s not running kids to lessons or rocking a sleeping baby, she loves to create stories about badass alpha heroes who toe the line of morale and fight for what they believe in—and the woman they love.

Aside from creating the hottest book boyfriends, Samantha also loves to cook, bake, and spend time outside with her children (when it’s not -50 c). She’s also a proud, chocolate-loving health nut living her days in gratitude.

    So glad Brooks got his life back — what a crazy journey! What a risk Cam took helping him escape and nursing him back to health. But the drama at the end with the evil doctor was a bit over the top. He should have been overpowered and killed sooner — but that wasn’t my decision.

    This author seems to be truly obsessed with people taking their shoes off when they enter a home! So strange. And why would a police detective wear stilettos?!

    Some amusing moments, some crazy moments.

    This is the third in the Blood Brothers Series. Although it is apparent that some characters have appeared in previous books, their introduction into this book was seamless and did not confuse the reader. This book is a stand-alone, without a cliff hanger ending and written in third person.

    Camryn Bayfield has secrets. Hiding from someone who wants to harm her leads her to accept a nursing position as Camryn Royse at a private facility in Utah. She doesn’t investigate the facility, choosing to work for the higher pay they offer since she needs the money. On her first night at work, she meets Number 36, Brooks Ivanov and gets the feeling that something isn’t right.

    Brooks is a man fraught with fragments of memory and an unrelenting need for escape. He doesn’t believe what Dr. Leonetti tells him. He knows he has never hurt a woman and that he has been kidnapped, being held against his will while his body is being subjected to experimental drugs. He has been betrayed by some people he used to trust and knows that his life depends on escaping his confinement.

    Cam recognizes Brooks as a fellow human in the same fight or flight survival mode in which she lives. When he asks for help getting out of the facility, Cam agrees to help the troubled and tortured man. The two are on the run, trying to stay ahead of the forces pursuing them.

    Cam helps Brooks through the vicious withdrawal from the drugs he has been given and they save each other from outside forces who track them to end their lives.

    This action-packed book was an exciting read, with plot twists woven amongst the growing attraction and affection Brooks and Cam feel for each other. While there are some far-fetched scenarios, those can be overlooked for the drama and suspense created in the plot.

    What a fantastic read! Unchained is the third book in the Blood Brother's series and this time we're finally meeting Lexi's (book 2) brother, Brooks, that went missing and Camryn, an RN on the run from her crazy nephew. This book can be read as a standalone, but best enjoyed when reading the whole series in order.

    I've really been enjoying Samantha Wilde's books and I think Unchained is my favorite so far! Her writing seems to get better and better each time ❤️. The story was non-stop action right out of the gate and the chemistry between Brooks and Camryn was super hot! I really liked Brooks. I think it was because he was in the vulnerable position at the beginning and there was no posturing at all, just maybe a little of the "I'm no good for her" going on at first. Camryn is a super giving person who is a balm for the storm going on inside Brooks. We also get a little more insight into Cole in the book as well. I'm hoping he's next... maybe with that hot detective 🤞🏻? Anywho, lol... great read and I'm really looking forward to the next book!

    It was my first read by this author, but I enjoyed it. There was a good combination of suspense and romance. There was a bit of killing of the bad guys, so if you're not into that, you might not like it. I liked both Cam and Brooks as characters, and especially when he remembered his sister and then they had friends to help them. Although, it seemed like a lot got swept under the rug in terms of the authorities.
    As another reviewer pointed out, it was weird that the detective came to the door in stillettos. However, not weird Cam made her take off her shoes - just a weird time to write that in. I would be on that page as well. I can't stand people coming in my house with shoes on. It just means to have to wash the floor more often and I don't love mopping that much!
    As I said, my first read by this author, but I'd probably try another.
