- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2021I bought this book and the art looks stunning, The only downfall to this book though is that it has thin paper meaning that I can't really use my markers to color the images since it will bleed through, everything else okay that's just one of my complaints.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2020I want to give this more stars because I'm such a huge Anne Boleyn fan and am just so happy that this exists, but I have a few qualms. First, the history is very lavish and well documented, as one would expect from the fabulous Claire Ridgeway. I also like seeing the various badges and crests associated with Anne Boleyn. The illustrations were a little bit of a let-down...lots of buildings, lots of people other than Anne, but just not as well drawn as I would like. For example, some of the lines are strong and clear, others are thin and disappear. There is one page in particular portraying the Howard arms. One set of lions has some hatching lines for shading detail while the other one does not. It just feels inconsistent. I wish I could be more complimentary. And perhaps my biggest complaint, the paper is so thin! I'm going to color and enjoy this, certainly, but was surprised by those little details.

3.0 out of 5 stars Informative and beautiful pictures, but ...
the paper is too thin. The text from the page before is visible in the pictures. This really takes the pleasure out of coloring. I hope they fix it, then I may buy the book again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Informative
Our grandaughter is really into the Tudors at the moment, especially Anne Boleyn, so this book was a no-brainer for her. She couldn't wait to create her own version of the famous Hever Castle portrait, and tell us all about her costume and jewellery as she coloured the picture. As well as the fun she gets from the colouring pages, there is background on the people and events related to each image, although she continues to astound us by knowing so much already! This book has made our Tudor Princess very happy, and will continue to do so for a while longer yet.
