This is a sensual book, not erotica. Physical contact is more about their emotions than graphic storytelling. From 1 to 5 with 1 being chaste kisses and 5 being straight up erotica, I would say this book is about a 3. It is a heartwarming romance with a bit of steam.

Kasi Blake learned that writing was her superpower when she was in the third grade. The teacher asked the students to write a short (one-page) story about a pet monster for Halloween. She heard the other kids all saying they were doing vampires and werewolves, so she chose to write about a pet mummy. Her story made the entire classroom erupt with laughter. That's when she realized words had power. Then when she was in high school she had to write a short story for a class and put it off until the last minute. While talking to friends that morning, she scribbled it out and handed it in. The teacher thought she'd plagiarized it. That's how good he thought it was, but her friends backed her up.     I think this is the first time in a while that I savoured the book when I was reading. I was reading it so thoroughly so I could absorb every word, so I could let very word, very action sink into me and I'm so very happy that I did.

    This book (and author) has highly impressed me. I loved the Bait series and Vampire Rules by this author so, of course, I'm not disappointed - this book was phenomenal and electrifying.

    Full of enemies to lovers, fake engagement, hope, attraction, healing, lawyers, family, lies and truths, and love.

    Perfect for readers of contemporary romances.

    One word WOW! I love the other genre this author writes but she really hit this story right out of the ballpark. You get a little of everything rolled up all in one. I recommend this to anyone who loves a little spice and a lot of fun.

    You will fall in love with Skylar and Anna!! This was a sweet romance that will make you say "awww". It has an enemy to lovers feel but when you keep reading, you can't help but fall in love with the characters. If you have book boyfriends, add another to the list with Skylar.

    I really enjoyed reading this book. I had moments were I want to scream at both and tell them just to communicate with each other, and a moment that almost made me cry. But in the end everything turn around for the good and I really enjoyed reading this book. Great work!

    Skylar and Anna were both lawyers in his father's firm but they didn't get along with each other. While stuck in an elevator they came to an agreement to have a fake engagement for mutual benefit. This plan was only going to last a short while then they would break up and continue as before. However, their plans went awry when their feelings started to change and they gave in to the attraction between them. Anna was not happy lying to Skylar's family as they were very welcoming especially when they saw how good she was for him. When Skylar's dad ended up in hospital he told them the truth about the engagement and it seemed that it was all over between them.

    I loved this story although I thought Anna fell in love too quickly which might be due to the how short the book was. I liked the characters including Skylar's family who were a great support to him. The chemistry between Anna and Skylar was sizzling and there were a few steamy sessions in the book.
