Crossing the Centuries: Connecting to 165 Spirits and Energies of my Ancestral Tree Paperback – June 5, 2024
Purchase options and add-ons
Two hundred years. Interviews with one hundred and sixty-five spirits. Two years of writing. You are about to read a memoir unlike any other!
Have you ever wondered why you are you? Where you fit in you long line of ancestors?
Writer, psychic and intuitive medium, Brenda Hammon, wondered about her ancestors and their stories her entire life, and spent over twenty years researching them. After hiring genealogical investigators, doing hundreds of hours of research, and travelling to the United States to visit graveyards from the American Civil War - Brenda knew there was so much more to her ancestors' stories.
She wanted to bring her dead family members back to life. And she decided to do something that's never been done before. Brenda used her many spiritual gifts to connect with ancestors who died almost two hundred years ago. And it worked!
Who showed up in her home office and sometimes spun in her office chair? American Civil War soldiers. Farmers and pioneers. Women who didn't have the right to vote but who held their families together. Children. Mothers and fathers and grandparents. Convicts and murderers. Mysterious energies and experiences that will keep you reading long into the night.
This spiritual memoir is filled with Brenda's ancestors' stories; and historical documents and facts relevant to when they lived, loved, and died. She also takes you on her own journey of how her gifts came to be and why they grew in intensity over the years.
You'll never look at your family tree the same way again!

About the author

Brenda Hammon is an international and Canadian Amazon best-selling author, multi-award winner, philanthropist, entrepreneur, intuitive and psychic medium, and speaker.
Brenda’s passion for breaking the cycle of silence led her to write her own memoir— I Am. After the success of her first book, she launched a four-book series called Sacred Hearts Rising, an anthology of stories from people who have overcome seemingly insurmountable odds.
Brenda has won International Reader’s Favorites awards, as well as a Literary Titans’ gold and silver medals with her books, Sooo…How was your Day? and Crossing the Centuries.
Brenda’s spiritual gifts have allowed her to help people connect with their deceased loved ones and send earth bound souls into the light. Her latest book, Crossing the Centuries, is a genealogy spiritual memoir that delves into her family’s history, starting in the late 1700s and 1800s. Brenda spiritually connected and interviewed her ancestors and helped them share their stories of life, hardship, triumph, and migration across America in the 1800s.
Brenda is committed to giving back to her community. She’s jumped out of a plane to raise funds for a women’s shelter, helped an international children's home in Mexico, and supports local organizations struggling to aid those in need.
Brenda and her husband Bud live on a farm in Alberta, Canada.

5.0 out of 5 stars How cool, Brenda having actual conversations with each one of her ancestors
This book is a fascinating read. It is not just a historical book Crossing Centuries based on factual documentation but channeled stories as Brenda uses her amazing gift of going beyond the veil to have actual conversations with each one of her ancestors. They share their lives of incredible hardships, living through immigrating and developing this country. Life was very challenging, with much loss of life and yet a tenacity to keep going forward. Each person’s personality came through, good and bad. And there was humor as well. This is a book that made me truly grateful for my ancestors and their sacrifices, who I am sure had similar stories. I found we might even be related somewhere way back! I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A voyage back through time
Brenda Hammon has written a book unlike any other: a voyage back through time connecting to her ancestors, literally connecting with their spirits to inquire about them and their lives. She does this in her usual style of wit and grace, ensuring she will make you laugh and care for these long-departed souls.
Her ability to connect with these souls is unequalled, and their stories are vivid and daring and make you want to cheer for them.
I highly recommend this book for its fresh perspective on history, for the connections made and for the sheer pleasure of reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uniquely entertaining!
"Crossing the Centuries" is a unique perspective on recounting a family history. Brenda Hammon has obtained her ancestors' stories from the "horse's mouth." As a psychic medium, her ancestors came through to give her their honest version of their lives. Her genuine intent to have them heard brought more of them forward to contribute to an enthralling tale of their lives. Brenda's accompanying story of how she interviewed her dead relatives is very interesting! An enjoyable read.
