The Coronavirus Bible: A Pandemic Parody Kindle Edition
Quintessential Quarantine Quips
The Coronavirus Bible is what happens when a bunch of Christian Comedians get together (virtually) during quarantine to raise money to support those in need.
Containing satirical COVID-19 takes on more than 60 beloved Bible stories and parables, including:
- Genesis 11 – The Tower of Toilet Rolls
- Psalm 23 – The Lord is my Sales Assistant
- John 2 – Jesus turns water into hand sanitizer
- Luke 10 – The Parable of the social distancing Samaritan
- John 6 – Jesus turns 5 toilet rolls into 5,000
- Ephesians 6 – Put on the PPE of God!
This Coronvirus Comedy Bible will not only raise a laugh but also raise funds to help those in need with all proceeds from this book going to charity.
And since laughter is also good medicine, you’ll be doing helping yourself too. Honest.

About the authors
Paul Kerensa was born in Cornwall in 1979, and once he'd learned to write, he started writing.
Years later, he's an award-winning writer of TV, radio, books and his own stand-up comedy, which he still performs twice or thrice a week. He's part of the British Comedy Award-winning writing team for BBC's Miranda, the Rose d-Or Award-winning writing team for BBC1's Not Going Out, he's written for cult shows like C4's TFI Friday and BBC Radio 4's The Now Show and Dead Ringers, as well as mainstream hits like BBC's Top Gear, Buble at the BBC and the BBC Music Awards.
In book form, Paul wrote the true-life memoir So a Comedian Walks into a Church in 2013, which made The Independent's top 7 comedy books for Christmas that year. He followed that up with Genesis: The Bibluffer's Guide, based on his Edinburgh Festival show retelling tales of Adam & Eve, Noah and musicals about dreamcoats.
2017's Hark! The Biography of Christmas was an Amazon best-seller, and 2018's children's books Noah's Car Park Ark and Moses & The Exodus Express are beautifully illustrated by The Pope Twins.
His podcast The British Broadcasting Century tells the origin story of the BBC, radio and life as we know it, and is the basis of his new historical novel Auntie and Uncles.
His website is paulkerensa.com
Scott Norris is a new author who got his start writing parody articles for saltycee.com. It was only fitting for Scott to write for the Salty Cee, seeing as he’s been a salty theology grad for over ten years now. He currently has a Christian fantasy novel on Amazon now! It's called Marno's Shield.
When Scott isn’t writing he’s drinking coffee and telling jokes at his TV. He lives with his wife and two daughters in Kansas City. Scott is also willing to move to Mars, should that become an option.
John trained as a teacher at Oxford University, but despite this he still refers to himself in the third person.
John loves using stories and his rather quirky British humour to open people’s eyes.
When he’s not wrestling with his work-life balance or literally wrestling with his four children, he’s wrestling with writing words on a page in his cramped study.
You can find him at his website: JohnSpencerWrites.com
John lives with his family near Oxford, England where daily he wonders how his wife still finds the same jokes funny after more than 20 years of marriage.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2021I actually laughed out loud at several points. This was a fun, short read. Highly recommend to Christians or anyone with a sense of humor.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 30, 2022Galatians 6:7 “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Just wanted to let you know!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2022This was a very funny book. Highly recommend and the money spent goes to charity. If you like to laugh then you will enjoy this.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2020Disclaimer: I did receive a free copy in exchange for some contributions to this work.
It almost makes all the nonsense of this crayola-virus worth it. (But not really)
It's satire that parodies how people act in response to the Coronavirus and injects it into Bible stories to show the foolishness of these times.
The good Samaritan is a menace for breaking social distancing; lol.
Everything is the Coronavirus nowadays, and not even the Bible is safe. ;-P
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2020This book literally made me lol. I still crack up rereading The “Cain and Abel” chapter. It’s all for a good cause, and it’s hilarious! Why not buy it? You won’t regret it. (Unless maybe you think the satire is making fun of the Bible thus should be left alone. Nonetheless, all profits are going to charity and still think it deserves as much support as it can get.) A great way to lighten up the mood during this unpleasant time.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2022It probably would have been funnier if I had read it during quarantine. As it was, it seemed very repetitive.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2020This book, like almost all of John Spencer's books, takes stories from the Bible and gives twists and turns that will make you chuckle. He does a great job of making sure that the material does not give off the impression of disrespecting the original texts. It is light-hearted and a very enjoyable read. The proceeds go to a very worthy cause as well, which adds to the list of reasons why one must read this latest of satirical pieces.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2020I would gladly go on another lockdown just to prevent this book from being spread.
