    Addi has moved home for a fresh start after the way her relationship with her ex ended. All she has ever seen is the painful side of love so she is determined not to go down that path again.

    Cole teaches surfing lessons and likes to keep his relationships with women contained to one night. He needs to focus on his business and not be distracted by anyone or anything.

    When Cole and Addi meet there is no denying the chemistry between them and they are both determined to keep things casual but why is the fling starting to feel like forever?

    Now I knew I was going to be in for a treat with a book from Lyssa Cole but WOW! She always continues to amaze me with her writing. If its sexy or sadness it all ends up being amazing. I gave her some crap about naming her guy COLE... but I love it. This is definitely a story you want to read this summer, you won't be disappointed.

    Cole and Addi were made for each other. She loved to paint pictures of the beach and he loved to surf and teach people to surf. He loved her but didn't think he deserved to be loved due to an old girlfriend committing suicide.

    This book came across very immature and formulaic. It was like a 13 year old with a how to write a romance guide followed the formula. The fmc and her friend were kind of annoying and did not seem their age at all. We never got a resolution on the fmc’s parents nor any background into why they are the way they are. We were told there was a resolution with Finn but didn’t actually get a resolution and again no explanation as to why he treated the fmc that way.

    Our pasts make us who we are today but we shouldn’t fear it or allow it to stop us with things in life. Instead we should learn from it and hope it doesn’t repeat itself now or in the future. Easier said then done, I know. I do it often. This story hit home for me on a few different levels. I was hooked from the first sentence to the very last. It’s a beautiful, second chance love story filled with a lot of laughs and a few tears!! 🖤🖤

    Crashing Together started off strong, and then kind of fell flat for me. It had all the makings for a perfect summer fling romance. It was hot, angsty, and the characters had just the right amount of mystery and drama surrounding them, but then the book seemed to jump around too much, and felt rushed to end. Addi is back in her hometown working on getting her life back together, and on selling here artwork. At a beach party one night, she has a hot night with Cole, and one thing leads to another, and they end up helping each other out with business, and decide on no strings attached sex. The problem is, Addi knows she's going to  end up catching  feelings, and Cole is very hot and cold. The one thing I did enjoy about this book was the beginning where these two were flirty and fun with each other and just having fun and were open about what they wanted. They communicated and things were going great. But when things started to progress, Cole shut down, would close off and refused to share why he was the way he was. Addi also was the same way, and this caused a hiccup for the two of them, and their stubbornness caused some problems for them, and to be honest it could have been resolved so much quicker than it was, and it annoyed me a bit with how Addi handled everything towards the end of this book. I adored her character up until about 70% into the book and then I wanted to strangle her. I was very hot and cold with this book, at times I really did enjoy it, and other times I wanted to go "is this the same story?". I felt as if the ending was too rushed, and I wished we could have gotten as much depth into the characters and story in the last part of the book as we did in the beginning.
