4.3 out of 5 stars 390 ratings

Meggie. The beauty who tamed the biker.
She believes her future is bright. Her baby boy. the love of her man and the affection of the Death Dweller brothers fill her with contentment. Now, the only thing she wants is to have her marriage blessed in a church ceremony.

Outlaw. The bad boy who fell for the beauty.
When a new threat rides into town and puts a target on his woman's back, Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell is forced to confront a past that has him questioning if Megan belongs with him or not. Standing in a sanctuary reciting sacred vows suddenly seems a useless exercise. He wants vengeance and blood. Love and romance have no place in a world of violence and vengeance. The more he pushes her away, the more Megan lures him in. She sees him as Christopher, but Outlaw is in his blood. Just as he always feared, the man she believes him to be and the one he is collide, risking the most important thing of all: Megan's life.

In her head, she's the ultimate biker babe. In reality, she's an ordinary girl-next-door and a native New Orleanian. Since the release of Misled in December 2013, she's been living her dream of writing books. In August 2015, her life took a dramatic turn with the diagnosis of Stage 2B HER2 Positive Breast Cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy, lymph node removal, and breast reconstruction in February 2016. The support of her family, friends, and fans helped her to stay strong and keep her head up. #F*ckCancer became her rallying cry. Now located in the Houston area, she's once again cancer free and is currently plotting her next novel.

Kathryn C. Kelly is a New Orleans native who has called southeast Texas home since 2005. She had intended to travel the world but always return to her beloved New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina had other plans. She is the mother of three beautiful daughters and the daughter of one gorgeous mother whose footsteps she followed in by becoming a writer.

Kathryn is the former owner and editor of Inside Rose Rich Magazine. She and her mother have been published by Jove Books as Christine Holden. The books have long been out of print but they got the rights back to the five novels and have plans to re-release them soon.

Kathryn is a cancer survivor. In 2010, she felt a small lump in her breast. In 2015, at the urging of her mother, she went in for her bi-yearly mammogram and was diagnosed with Stage 2b/3a HER2 positive breast cancer. On November 30, 2016, she rang the bell. During her treatment, she was also diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome.

In 2013, Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell introduced himself to Kat in the most cliché way ever. He came to her in a dream. After the inauspicious meeting, he planted himself in her mind and the motherf...the gentleman hasn't left yet. In what was only supposed to be one book about the fictitious Death Dwellers MC, Outlaw has become a source of amusement, a well of frustration, and a bone of contention between Kat and one of her daughters.

She is hard at work on Reckless, the book that will bridge the OGs with a new generation of Death Dwellers. Her work has been included in several anthologies and she is looking forward to other upcoming single title releases, including Savage Suit from the Cocky Hero Club World created by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward. She is a former RWA member. She also served as Vice President for the SOLA chapter of RWA.

She is a New Orleans Saints fan, but roots for the Texans, the Rockets, and the Coogs (U of H) as long as they aren't playing any Louisiana teams. She loves champagne and sparkling wine. One day, she will try Snoop's brand. She still loves Chivas Regal but had a chance to taste Sassenach Scotch. A #lifegoal is to one day buy herself an entire bottle and keep it all for herself.

In her head, she is a biker babe with a Harley in her garage, waiting for her to hit the road. In reality, she has yet to hop on a bike and ride. She loves Cards Against Humanity, has very strong opinions that she keeps to herself, has to take her time to talk in public so nothing untoward pops out, and always strives to see the best in people and in life.

A continuation of "Misled" featuring one of my favorite couples, Christopher and Megan! Again, I could not put this book down! I devoured each and every word. "Misappropriate" focuses on the events leading up to Christopher and Megan's 'church wedding' even though they are legally married already. Megan wants the church to bless her marriage.

Christopher has increased his over the top possessiveness of Megan post-marriage. He barely lets Megan out of his sight. All of the characters are included in the story and we are treated to a few different point of views from Megan's mother, Dinah, K-P, Val, Mortician, etc. It was a nice break from Megan and Christopher. This also set the stage for future books featuring some of these characters.

There's a new threat for Christopher, Megan and the Death Dwellers MC. I initially had no clue about the threat, but enjoyed reading it as it all came together. The reason for the threat was different, believable and brilliant! This storyline just worked for me and in a good way.

This is fast becoming one of my favorite biker series. I highly recommend it. Again, no hearts and flowers here. You must be cool with reading about violence, drugs, alcohol, sex and profanity.

    Why Not 5 Stars?
I enjoyed "Misled" more than this book, so I had to downgrade my rating slightly. This is still an excellent book.

I am really getting into the big picture of the Death Dwellers. The more I read the more I want to read. I am a little dissappointed that there was not more digging into the history of Outlaw and his family's involvement in the MCs. I love Johnny and want more of him! There are a lot of slang-type dialogs and narration which can make reading a little difficult but go with the theme of this series of rough and tough biker MC.

Megan aka Meggie has proven her strength before but with each situation she finds herself in, she shows her strength knows no bounds when it comes to her husband and MC prez, Christopher "Outlaw" Caldwell. While she juggles being a new mother, a wife and the duties of trying to care for the MC club and its bikers, she has now taken the task of putting together her dream wedding.

If the stress of all that wasn't enough, now there is a rival biker stalking and threatening her to get to Christopher. Meggie proves that she can be strong and fragile. The MC life isn't her ideal, but she loves Christopher so much she is willing to stand by his side through everything and support him no matter what.

These two truly have an intense connection/relationship that would put so many others to shame. The personalities of these characters is so tangible that I can truly see them and their mannerisms in my head. I get a kick out of Outlaw. His colorful use of the English language just cracks me up and keeps everything very entertaining. He has such a strong and intense personality.

The Death Dwellers MC is one of my favorite MC series. To me, the story lines, plots and characters are up there with similar well known and very popular series such as The Undeniable series and The Reapers MC.

I love this series!! It keeps getting better and better. The writing is great, the characters are all developed and growing with each book in a very realistic believable way. I love how Ms. Kelly portrays the dark, raw and gritty side of the MC along with the not so nice side of these bikers. She doesn't hold back and I find that refreshing. And wowza can this lady write a sizzlin sex scene **fanning myself** she writes so realistically I feel like I'm watching this all play out.
I loved the doubts that Outlaw had and Meggie really grew up in this book she's a fierce Momma bear and she keeps Christopher centered, they don't have an easy relationship but they do have true love and it really shows in this book.
I love when an author can make me feel so many things and Ms. Kelly definitely brings my emotions out.
Can't wait for more of the Death Dwellers' !!!!

This is a fast moving story that will take you along for a great ride. It's a real page turner with strong characters, I would recommend reading .'Misled' which is the first book in this series, before reading this. This is gritty and raw and definitely not for the faint hearted. I loved this book, a fantastic rollercoaster of a read.

Misappropriate is the second book in this MC Series, first book titled Misled.....for those folks who have not read it....what you waiting for!!!!!
What I love about this series although it is based around Christopher 'Outlaw Caudwell and Meggie it also features other characters who will eventually get their story told. This book grabs you right from the start and it still has you until you finish the last word in the book.

It's not for the faint hearted....it's raw, gritty, passionate, happy, sad,
I am not very good at giving reviews, wish I could find the words to describe how good the book is....but you will just have to buy and see for yourself.....and as Outlaw says 'ain't nothin' but a thing'
