Death's Curses Kindle Edition
Then she has a near death experience. And Charlie is the first person on the scene. It turns out, his sister isn’t psychic but she does have a special connection to Death. She and Charlie both. So maybe this friendship will take a little more work than Esmer originally thought. But hey, it’s better than the gang. Even after being pulled into a string of grisly murder investigations, running with people possessing supernatural abilities, and dealing with the very real presence of a minor goddess, Esmer’s pretty sure hanging with Charlie is better than being back with the gang. Yep, pretty damn sure.

Becca Fox is an awkward introvert who loves to read and write, watch anime, and play videogames next to her gamer husband. Her idea of a good time is hunting for the next great rom-com and planning trips to the exotic places where these stories take place. - Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2023I'm one of the authors who wrote Death's Curses and I just love how Clarice made my characters come to life. Jasmine is the unsung hero of this book and I knew from the moment I listened to Clarice's first audio sample that she was the one for the job. I literally thought, "Oh, my gosh, that's Jasmine!" My co-author agreed just as quickly. Clarice worked really hard on her Bostonian accent and aced the chapters written from Esmer's point of view. The whole project was a difficult task for Clarice, since this book is written in three very different points of view but I think other readers/listeners would agree that she did a phenomenal job!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2021Charlie and Jasmine live in the basement of the police precinct. Their uncle is a detective there. Jasmine dies whenever someone dies in her close proximity. She feels their pain and just how they died. Then she lives again. Charlie has visions. Lady Death is playing games with them after their parents made a deal with Death to save their lives when they were born. This is no life for these young people. What an utterly brilliant story. I just could not put it down.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2021Death's Curses - what an outstanding book! Amazing story. Took me a bit to get the concept of the curse that the twins carried. Then as the story progresses and you meet, sort of, the other 6 people who share a similar curse. There are enough characters and a weaving storyline to keep to book flowing. I will say I was floored with the ending. This is a great book, a must read, very imaginative, truly a must try. Becca Fox and Martha Agundez went beyond anything I have ever read to create this story. Thank you both!! Loved it!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2021I started Death’s Curses immediately after receiving a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only and was hooked immediately. I enjoyed the back and forth between the present story and the letters written in the past. It was an excellent combination of fantasy and romance.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2022I could not put this book down. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend this book even if it is not the type of book you typically read. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2022I liked how this story was told from multiple character’s point of views, each character’s personality shining distinctly from another’s. I’d recommend this book for ages 14 and up, it shows a positive budding relationship between teens who respect each other while trying to navigate family, tragedy and a paranormal curse.
