Valley of Spies (A Dennis Cunningham thriller Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 157 ratings

A missing psychologist is the bait that pulls retired CIA investigator Dennis Cunningham out of retirement in Australia. With his Australian policewoman girlfriend, he finds there’s nothing more treacherous than a twisted mind.

But this isn't just any case of missing a person - the missing psychologist is someone Dennis knows all too well. Dennis sought therapy from this same psychologist after his wife's sudden death years earlier. Now, as he delves into the investigation, Dennis begins to suspect foul play and wonders if someone wants to expose the dark secrets of the psychologist's CIA patients.

With the help of his Australian cop girlfriend, Judy White, Dennis uncovers a twisted and dangerous web of lies. But the mystery leads them back to Washington, D.C., where they find themselves in more danger than they ever could have imagined.

If you're a fan of gripping psychological thrillers with strong characters and a suspenseful plot, you won't want to miss this book.

First I want to say that I won this ebook through a giveaway & I want to thank the author. This was a really good book, only thing I did care for is the repeat of family members on relationship & for Dennis’s gf always doubting his love for her. The plot was great & I’ll definitely read another thriller from Keith Yocum.

Fun read. However I agree with one reviewer who said that Judy was silly not to believe Dennis loved her. Also that she believed he was somehow not the person she thought he was….a bit unrealistic…trying too hard to create conflict where there should hv been none..

The book coulld have stood on its own without the involvement of unrealistic women .
They detracted from a fairly good story line
But I guess you had to keep the girls happy.

I've just read the 3 books in the Dennis Cunningham series and loved every one of them. So glad I stumbled across this author. I read them all in 2 days flat and hope he's going to write some more. Somehow I just don't think Dennis is going to be able to stay out of trouble for long......

This series is up there with the likes of Charles McCarry, Dan Festerman, Charles Cumming and Mick Heron.
They are very good spy stories.
As a bonus they are part set in Australia and NZ.
