The Healer: a hunky medic super soldier romance (The Dregs Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 218 ratings

I broke a rule to help a woman in need. I wanted to be her hero. And now it’s going to cost me...

I broke a cardinal rule the day I gave Alissa Drake my phone number. Now I’ve put myself and all my dreg brothers at risk.

But how can I ignore a woman in danger? She calls to me like no other. Stunning on the outside, shattered underneath. The pain in her damaged soul mirrors mine.

For her, I want to break the rules. To change the world.
My world. And make it ours.

But I can heal only physical wounds. Not a battered heart.

Now the dominoes are falling. One by one.

My dreg partner is missing. Our safety is at stake.

The gangs are closing in. And the clock is ticking.

If I am going to be her hero, I must go back to the life I fled.

And become the killer I was trained to be.

"Author Leslie Georgeson has done it again, delivered a smoothly written novel with twists that saw me holding my breath, the chemistry that kept me gasping for breath, and the action scenes that literally took my breath away.... This was a great read.

Nate (The Healer) did something that went against everything that he normally does and it took him on many wild goose chases and many times of being injured.

Alissa is the woman that Nate knew was for him and when she decided to put what he had given her to use, he didn’t let her down. He showed up and rescued her.

Alissa felt broken many times over because of what she had endured 3 years ago and leave it to Tony (The Smuggler) to rub it in (her background unbeknownst to him). So, Alissa decided to grow another backbone. She knew that she wanted Nate and that she needed to bulk up and be the woman who was worthy of him.

My favorite scene was when, Alissa initially let out her aggression and pain on Tony (the dreg way), while they were sparring or rather, while Tony let her beat up on him. She came out of the box of brokenness like a hellcat.

CONS: The sex scene was TOO LONG! And Tony called Alissa a: “Punta” way too many times!

Alissa is watching Hazel, Jacobs daughter. Tracker peacetime to her. Nate offers to help her get out of the city but she isn't ready to trust him, so he gives her his phone number. Which is against the Dreg rules. A few weeks later the Spartans are banging on her door and she calls him for help.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "THE HEALER" This is a phenominal series it's so addicting each book gets better and better and this story grabs you right from the beginning it's action packed, intiguing, suspenseful, dangerous, full of emotional drama, violence, torture, human trafficking, gangs, hot steamy sex scenes. This story was so extremely well written by Leslie Georgeson the characters are fantastic loved the Tracker from book one show up in this story as well as Jacob from book two. The story was very interesting you just couldn't put this book down absolutely loved the chemistry between Nate and Alissa he's The Healer and she use to be a famous model has her nurse's training to fall back on she had been brutal attacked and quit her modeling career and became close off until meeting Nate. So much happens this amazing read you must get this book I highly recommend it won't disappoint I can't wait for Tony the Smugglers story Nates partner he's such a tortured soul. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!! AND ALL THE DREG'S.......

This book just didn't do it for me. It was a bit slow and repetitive. Not enough romance or action. Lots of traveling and second guessing. I am still excited to continue the series though!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but better editing needed
Reviewed in Canada on May 5, 2022
I enjoyed the story and how it continues the interactions between the characters as well as the overall big bad guys. I found the inconsistent formatting, typos and sometime the missing text to be distracting and took away from the story. The editing in the previous books was a little bit better. Thanks for the book! Please edit more carefully.
