They never thought they'd see each other again...

Trapped in a loveless marriage far from home, Bridget does what she can to fill her lonely days. She throws herself into charitable work, but her cherished daughter, Emily, is her only true source of happiness.

Meanwhile, Cormac's own life unravels and he finds himself doing unspeakable things just to survive.

Neither of them dream they will ever meet again, but fate brings them back together in the most unexpected of ways.

Can Bridget rediscover her love for the man Cormac has become? And how will Cormac react when he learns Bridget’s secret?

A Class Entwined is the second book in Susie Murphy’s historical fiction series A Matter of Class. The story continues in the third book, A Class Forsaken.

I have purchased the whole set. Books 1 and 2 were very good and were a very quick read - in my opinion. However book 3 TOOK FOREVER...... 3/4 of the way though I just started skimming for dialogue because I was so borred. UHG... I started book 4 but at this point I think I need a break because I am kinda over it. My advise is to purchase 1 and 2 see how you do, before you purchase the whole set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absorbing and exciting continuation of an epic story

A keen reader of historical fiction I love being transported to another time. Sometimes the narrative and descriptions don’t ring true for me so I was delighted when I read Susie Murphy’s debut novel A Class Apart. I was immediately engaged with not only her principle but equally well developed minor characters. The setting and description of the time and social mores is well researched and the narrative flows beautifully. I devoured the novel in one sitting.

Immediately I downloaded the second in the series eager to follow Bridget and Cormac through their absorbing story. It was a classic case of ‘just one more chapter’ as I read A Class Entwined. At this stage I was completely invested the story and I finished the last chapter with my heart racing…….a great ending which just left this reader eager for book 3.

Susie has woven a fantastic 2 book start to an epic story of love, loss, cruelty and compassion set against a detailed and rich historical tapestry. I would highly recommend this series and look forward to following all the characters as their journey unfolds. Bring on Book 3 !!!
