J. Daniels is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Alabama Summer, Dirty Deeds and Sweet Addiction series, as well as her MM romance: The Tragedy of Felix and Jake.

Best known for her sexy, small-town romances, her debut novel, Sweet Addiction, was first published in 2014 and went on to become an international bestseller. Since then, she has published more than fifteen novels, including the Dirty Deeds series with Forever Romance.

Daniels grew up in Baltimore and currently lives in Maryland with her husband and three kids. A former full-time Radiologic Technologist, she began writing romance after college and quickly discovered a passion for it. You'll still catch her in scrubs every now and then, but most of her time is spent writing these days—a career she is eternally grateful for.

Always an avid reader, Daniels enjoys books of all kinds, but favors Romance (of course) and Fantasy. She loves hiking, traveling, going to the mountains for the weekend, and spending time with her family.

    The Tragedy of Felix by J. Daniels is one of those rare books that grabs your heart from the first page and doesn’t let go. I read this along with the audiobook, and I have to say—Iggy Toma and Tristan Josiah delivered phenomenal performances. Their voices brought every emotion to life, from laughter to heartbreak, and they captured the soul of the story perfectly.

    This book had me laughing out loud but it also made me cry more than once. At its core, this is the deeply emotional journey of two addicts, both fighting to stay sober while unexpectedly finding love in the process. Their story is messy, raw, tender, and so incredibly human.

    J. Daniels has written something truly special here. It’s not just a romance—it’s a story about healing, forgiveness, and hope. One of the most beautifully written and emotionally impactful reads I’ve experienced in a long time.

    But the story is definitely heartbreakingly FANTASTIC!!! Parts of their lovestory are very hard to read without a visceral reaction.....Watching the two of them navigate both differing degrees sobriety, self-loathing, and then co-dependency before a HFN ending was at times wrenchingly beautiful and head-banging anger. Totally worth reading though do read the trigger warnings.

    The hype is real. I loved pretty much everything about this book 💜. The angst scared me at first, but turns out there are so many funny and cute moments that even the really dark moments were easier to digest.

    I fell for these men, CJ included cause what a great brother he is ! 🥰

    I think Felix and Jake deserve the best kind of love, love from each other, love from their friends, families, they deserve happiness even if their addiction is painful sometimes 🥺.

    I knew that this book wasn’t going to be an easy read but this book broke me. I loved the story of Felix and Jake. It’s tragic and sometimes sad but they fight for each other. I love that this book really tells the ugly truth and not just the romantic aspects.
