Daughter, covet not thy mother’s husband.

Isn't that a saying?
I know it isn’t, but in my case it really should be.
Because, in my case, I didn’t just walk up to the line, I crossed so far over it that I can no longer recall how I got there in the first place.

What line did I soar over? The line leading up to him.

Owen Montgomery: Rich … powerful … fucking amazing in bed.

Oh, and he’s married to my mother.

I didn’t seek this out as a way of life, but once I had my first taste of it—and him—handed to me on a glistening silver platter, I felt I owed it to myself to enjoy every delicacy offered to me while I could.

I suppose I should have known that my guilty pleasures couldn’t possibly last forever, and when our relationship took a decidedly nasty turn, I was left feeling utterly dejected.

Guided by my resentment, I threw caution to the wind and allowed myself to fall into the arms of another man.

Not just any man. The man in question is none other than Ethan—Owen’s absentee son.

After Owen left me so bitter, I realized that Ethan represented the ultimate escape … and I must admit, revenge.

Why not? He’s gorgeous, charming, and witty to boot.
As an added bonus, he’s single.

But … Owen has other ideas. He has decided that no other man can have me but him.

I am his … and he will stop at nothing to keep it that way.

If you're a fan of Jaimie's style, you'll love this one! I think, so far, this is my favorite book by her. It's has forbidden aspects, suspense, tender moments, angst, characters you can get into and feel they're real. It was such a great story, I can't wait for more.

I'm terrified of writing long reviews about a book I really enjoyed because I don't want to give anything away, which I would because I want the next person to be just as excited as I am, so short and sweet it is! Buy this book and love it as much as I did!!

I have been in a bit of a book slump lately. I start a book, neve to finish. Well, I read this authors other book tainted and loved it! Then through that book I found Forbidden Desires and of course loved it too! I actually completed both within two days.
This was a good book, and highly recommend. The book was well written and the storyline kept me intrigued enough to finish. Thus author is new to me and I definitely will keep reading her books.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author. The blurb was super interesting and it sucked me in. The overall storyline is actually great but the way it was written is not. It took me a week to get through this book when I usually read a book a day. I kept putting it down so many times because I felt like I was reading the same thing over and over again.
The author kept jumping between past and present and it was confusing as hell and I felt like it was just a filler for the book. We could of done without it, I felt like this story could of been 5/5 if she just stuck with one time frame seeing that the entire book was the span of SIX months.

This book will take you on one heck of a ride! I know some people are going to crying at the thought of her sleeping with her step dad. She is 20 when they meet, and her mom married him 2 weeks later. He only married her because he was being black mailed. It's not like she was a child and grew up with him. It had a great story line. I love a great book will keep you on the edge of your seat guessing what's going to happen next. Jaimie is quickly becoming one of my go to authors. I've read several by her and have enjoyed every single one of them.

Lots of twists, turns, and betrayal in this one. I really loved the story of Savannah and her finding her way to love.
The only thing I didn't like about the book was that it switched back and forth between the present and the past. One chapter or two of the present and then a chapter or two of the past. I would rather read a story straight through. That's just a personal preference of mine.
    Still a 5-star story.

This was a taboo read that will have you guessing until the end! I loved that this newest release wasn’t all about its delicious characters forbidden relationship, it had danger, suspense and surprises that the storyline was never boring. Of course the heat level sizzles, but I wasn’t expecting to fall for Owen his dominating yet sweet character was hard not to love and with Savannah his alpha hotness comes out. This is a definite must read for romance readers who love this genre.

Despite being raised by her gold-digging mother, Savannah Williams remains polite and appreciates the kindness in others. Wanting to work and make her own way, Savannah’s life takes a detour when her mother marries the handsome multi-millionaire, Owen Montgomery. As Savannah accepts a job as her new step-daddy’s assistant, the dynamic shifts and all that lies under the surface becomes blurred. Searching for what’s real, Savannah must uncover the truth before she can move forward.

Told in a shifting timeline between past and present, the conflict these characters experience becomes evident which leads them to take certain actions. Though Savannah knows what she’s doing is wrong, she also knows all isn’t as it appears to be.

Though Savannah and Owen have a sizzling forbidden chemistry, their relationship experiences many ups and downs. As the tension mounted between chapters due to the alternating timelines, getting answers became tantamount. Unfortunately for me, the reveal was anticlimactic and seemed a bit implausible. However, these characters certainly evoked a strong response and I enjoyed the step-daddy factor.

Forbidden Desires is romantic suspense infused with taboo elements. This book would appeal to those who want intrigue and gray lines of immorality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book !!!!

There is nothing more I love to read than taboo. I love the naughty forbidden side that teases and tempts you and Jaimie Roberts has knocked this one out of the ballpark. Brilliant, sexy, seductive and wrong, with more angst than you can handle and secrets popping out from every corner, I couldn't stop devouring this book until I was done.

Owen Montgomery has just got married to the bitch from hell, featured in Forbes magazine, every woman wanted a taste of this rich and gorgeous man, he maybe off the market but Owen has secrets he is holding deep inside.
Enter his stepdaughter Savanna, overwhelmed by her personality which is so different from her mothers, Owen is attracted to this much younger girl who is like a breathe of fresh air in his messed up confused life. Savanna is suddenly thrust into a life of wealth and riches in a beautiful home such as the likes that she has never seen before. Owen pays her attention, is kind to her and she begins to want something she knows she can't have - Owen. This can surely only lead to trouble and misery but Savanna wants what her heart and body desires and she goes all out to get it !!

If you think this is just another stepfather taboo story falling for his stepdaughter you would be very wrong, because this book is sooo much more that just sex, although that was really hot and dirty; no this book had more layers than a trifle which I enjoyed peeling back to delight in finding something else to pop out and shock me.

This is some of Jaimie's best work in my opinion, it was written very well, flowed beautifully with characters that were so easy to connect with, and so much angst with questions that needed answering, I was in book heaven.

Addictive reading with a story that flitted from the past to the present which I loved. Pick up this book and read it, you are going to love this story of passion, desire, lies and intrigue, secrets and more. Epic stuff that is not to be missed !!!

I love jaimie Roberts work and this book did not disappoint, after reading the blurb I thought I knew which way this book would be going, stupidly forgetting that this is jaimies book and they always manage to surprise me in the best way. She creates characters you love to hate, characters you love of learn to love once you get through the layers and characters that completely surprise you. I couldn't put this book down. It had all my favourite things, a taboo relationship, a hot dominant possessive alpha with a vulnerable side, a good plot and great side characters. Well done jaimie.

I think this was my first read by J.R?... and i wasn't disappointed. I did find a couple of the characters on the annoying side and the story good but it lacked emotion.

I was expecting a little more to be honest, but it was still a good read overall.

This was my first read by this author. Well written and edited, I'll be looking into more of her books.

    ⚠️ Step-father/daughter, drugging, abuse

I quite enjoyed this book, and read it in one sitting. Although I wouldn't necessarily class this as a dark book, there are slivers of darkness in it.

The only complaint I have is that 2 certain characters didn't get the bloody end they should have 😆 It did have a nice HEA.

Recommended for anyone that likes a bit of taboo, with hints of mystery and danger.

5.0 out of 5 stars I devoured in one sitting!

The chemistry in this story sizzled. Savannah is not someone that Owen should be even be attracted to, but she a forbidden fruit that he yearns to taste. I instantly like Savannah, she held her own in horrific situations and was a gutsy character. Tense Owen was wound up tight and at times, his actions made me want to throttle him, but damn he has Alpha male stamped all over him and I couldn’t help cave to his magnetism, just like Savannah.

Full of intrigue, the story flowed superbly between present and past - I devoured it in one sitting. This is definitely a one-click must!
