The Goddess's Gift: Book One Kindle Edition
Magic lives in unexpected places. Sometimes, it purrs...
Out in the countryside, in a cozy cottage nestled beside the forest, healer Winna lives a quiet life with two opinionated cats and a gently flickering magical gift. Her days are filled with herbal salves, warmth by the hearth, and helping her neighbors one wound at a time.
But when a wounded black cat with mesmerizing green eyes limps out of the snow and into her life, her peaceful world begins to unravel.
Because that cat is more than just another feline friend.
He's fey. Powerful, poisoned, and hiding secrets behind every purr.
As Winna takes him in, nursing him with gentle hands and subtle magic, strange dreams, whispered truths, and creeping shadows stir at the edges of her world. With every passing day, the line between cozy hearth and high-stakes magic grows thinner.
Winna is becoming something more.
Something dangerous.
The first book in the enchanting Goddess’s Gift series. Great for fans of cozy cottage fantasy, reluctant heroines, slow-blooming love, and the kind of cats who talk back. Perfect for fans of Katherine Arden, and T. Kingfisher. And for those who love the magical intimacy of Sarah J. Maas, but with a cozy, quieter heart.”
"A slow-burn romantasy with a soft heart, sharp claws, and a quiet magic that builds to a storm."

- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2025I received an ARC of “The Goddess’s Gift,” and I have to say that this author truly captures cozy, comfy, “sit by the fire with a cup of tea, cat in your lap, sweet pastries on a tray” storytelling. The relationship dynamics are engaging, and if you’re a cat owner, you’ll immediately relate to everything she includes. I couldn’t help but smile multiple times throughout the book as she describes her cats’ various antics; the author’s love of magic, felines, and bringing the reader a bit of joy shines through her writing.
This book is perfect for you if you enjoy “slice of life” narratives with a magical, cozy atmosphere. Enjoy!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2025This was a very cute read! Cozy romantasy is not a genre I have read a lot of yet, so take my review with a grain of salt. It centers around the lives of Winna, a cottage-dwelling, cat loving, caring healer, and Lear, an injured fey assassin who finds himself a bit out of his element in the quiet countryside. Hints about a magical mystery are dropped early, and many little adventures and misadventures culminate in solving it during a white-knuckle kind of climax that sneaks up on you. That said, emphasis on the cozy aspect with this one. It is a fluffy book! If you are counting on intense action or epic-fantasy level detailing, it won’t be for you. But for anyone who enjoys a slower read with silly banter and all-too-relatable 30-year-old main characters who get to have a hot fey guy fall head over heels for them… Yeah, this’ll do it. Winna dotes on her cats, gets excited over functioning appliances, cries when she is afraid, and will happily tell off would-be suitors who expect her to be a pretty kitchen accessory. If this book is for you, that sentence is probably the only convincing you need. Also if you prefer no spice but still enjoy adult characters that flirt relentlessly, that’s another point in its favor. Repetitive word choices and inconsistent punctuation use held it back from being a 5 star experience for me, but the story bones and characters are worth the time to read in my opinion. I keep a favorite quotes list, and the ones from this book still have me giggling when I re-read them.

VERY cozy read. Think stardew meets whimsy magical romance. The story is about a young cottage woman finding her place and on this journey you wish nothing but happiness and love for her. The book is a fast read. It made me giggle, and cry. It tug some heart strings but in a good way. A very enjoyable read.

If your looking for a book with cozy, whismical and magical vibes, this is for you. It screams major Ghibli vibes!! It's a cozy, slice of life romantasy. It's about a healer witch and her journey of self discovery (slow romance is a plus). It's a quick read and perfect for a book lover ✨️
