    The book started a bit slow for me, but it ended on a good note. This is definitely a slow burn romance. I was impressed with the research and information the author produced on the scuba diving/underwater scenes.

    Hope Collins is up for a big promotion at work, her boyfriend planned dinner at her favorite restaurant. Things are looking up for Hope, until they come crashing down. With her sister’s meddling, she is now entered into a raffle to win a dive resort on St. Croix, and she wins! Once she’s checked out that it is a legitimate opportunity, her life flips upside down over night. Moving from cold Chicago to bright, sunny St. Croix she starts over. With help from Patti, the office manager, and Alex, the dive instructor, Hope quickly learns about the resort.
    Both Hope and Alex have a lot of hurts, but slowly open themselves up to a relationship and finding just what they didn’t know they were looking for.

    Looking forward to what else Erin Brockus will produce in the Half Moon Bay Series!

    I have read many books by this author. This one is the first book in her Half Moon Bay Series. The author has bundled the first four books in the series in a Half Moon Bay Collection. These four books tell the story of Hope and Alex’s romance. From the other books in the series that I have read, I knew Hope and Alex were a couple. I never knew how they met and fell in love. I also didn’t know what brought both of them to make St. Croix their home.

    I think Hope and Alex may be my new favorite couple. Their love story is so sweet. Hope is starting a new life in St. Croix as the new owner of the Half Moon Bay Resort. Alex is the ex Navy Seal who is the dive master and instructor at the resort. Both are reluctant to begin a relationship, especially since they have an employee/employer relationship.

    I love the small town beach setting in this series.

    This is an awesome book with dynamite characters and a great plot. The author did a wonderful job of describing the setting with vivid descriptions of the island as well as the under water scenes. The information about scuba diving was well researched and accurate.
    Hope has feels terrible when her boyfriend breaks up with her and then the next day she is passed over for a promotion at the hotel where she has worked for many years. She is so disturbed about this that she goes into her boss’s office and resigns. Now she is without both a job and a boyfriend. To her amazement she finds that she has won a scuba diving resort on the island of St. Croix!
    She moves from the cold of Chicago to the tropical paradise. When she arrives she finds that the previous owner has left and she is on her own. With help from Patti and Alex she begins to learn about the resort. Alex is the drop dead gorgeous dive instructor, but both he and Hope have secrets in their past that make it difficult to open themselves up for a relationship. There is a lot of excitement and danger that keep you engrossed in the story.
    This is a delightful story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good romance. This is the first book in a new series by Erin Brockus. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

    Finding Hope is Book #1 in the Half Moon Bay Series by Erin Brockus. It is a slow burn, small town romance with an island paradise setting, angst, emotion, challenges, chemistry, steam, hope, and finding love unexpectedly.
    Hope Collins has a chance for a new beginning when fate hands her a scuba diving resort on St. Croix island in the Caribbean. With it comes many challenges that will test her resolve. But fate seems to have a bigger plan- which may have started with the island resort- but also involves scuba diving instructor, Alex Monroe when he becomes part of the package. These two damaged souls set off sparks, in more ways than one.
