Book Three of The Heart Series

Lady Camilla Veltre has always lived a life of privilege. Wealthy, beautiful, and accustomed to getting exactly what she wants, she has never faced a challenge she couldn’t overcome—or buy her way out of. But when her brother Jaylon marries and leaves her to her own devices, Camilla is struck by an unshakable sense of loneliness. For the first time, she begins to question the purpose of her extravagant, carefully curated life.

That is, until the day everything changes.

Abducted by two mysterious men, Dominic and Hester, acting under orders from Prince Viktor of Massoulieu, Camilla finds herself thrust into a world far removed from her comfortable existence. They believe she is the perfect candidate to fulfill a secret mission, but they soon discover that the fiery Lady Camilla is not one to submit quietly to anyone’s plans.

Enter Nikos, a captivating and enigmatic figure tasked with calming Camilla’s defiance and introducing her to the customs of the Isle of Harris and the glittering Massoulieu Palace. Yet the deeper Camilla is drawn into this strange new world, the more she begins to uncover its secrets—and her own heart.

Will Camilla find love in the arms of the man sent to tame her, or will her fiery spirit leave her longing for the life she once knew? Can she forge a new destiny in the unfamiliar and dangerous courts of Prince Viktor, or will she forever be haunted by the choices she didn’t make?

Set sail with Lady Camilla in Capture Her Heart, a tale of passion, resilience, and the transformative power of love.

Editorial Reviews

Review

"Life often has some wicked curves for just about everyone. If you went up to someone and asked them if their life turned out exactly the way they planned it, most would say no. That is just how it goes, we don't know what is in store for most of us, nor what a new year will bring, but you are always hopeful that it will be something good like love, health or fortune. Taylor's third installment is a compelling love story that has a culmination of twists and turns of royal proportions."

"Camille is faced with a lonely few months after the departure of her brother and his new bride. Seeking to fill the void, Camille decides to go into town to look at gowns on the very same day that two men are prowling the streets for a blonde to kidnap. Taken from the streets right after she leaves the shop, Camille puts up the fight of her life, but sadly to no avail. These two men have been ordered to take a blonde from the streets of Cheshire to willingly become Prince Viktor's new bride. Viktor's desire for a blonde will certainly anger his father and his wife will be in a better financial situation than where she was just taken from. After everything seems to fit into his plans, the two men regretfully inform him that they nabbed a lady from a prominent family of wealth by accident. Knowing there will be trouble if they return her, Viktor decides to play the events through to the end. After all, her beauty and fire may very well make this marriage much to be desired, dare he say it, even one of love. Being called back to the palace by his twin sister for a wedding after several years of being away will be difficult, but with Camille hopefully compliant by his side after their long voyage across the seas, he may be able to just tolerate it."

"Taylor has a captivating story that definitely brings emotional baggage. There is creativity and the pace of this story holds steady for the reader. If you are a reader of historical romance, you may enjoy this installment. This is the third book in the Heart Series, but it can be read as a standalone. This story follows Camille's journey whereas the first two follow other characters." Goodreads reviewer - Lauren Jones

From the Author

Hello readers,
If you have read and finished Capture Her Heart, I hope you enjoyed it. I know a lot of readers really disliked Camille in the first book, Follow Her Heart and I hope all opinions have changed about her. Camille to this day is top on my list as a favorite character to write. The next book in the series picks up with the children of Jessie and Lucian, and Camille and Viktor. I do hope you all consider moving on to His Falling Heart, book 4 in The Heart Series.

I love this book so much! I did read this series out of order with this book being the first I've read, that being said I do not feel like that took away from the store at all. I can't wait to go back and read the rest!

Lady Camila is wealthy, arrogant and spoiled beyond belief. Her stature leaves her to believe she could ask and want for nothing, and she does. Her brother Jaylon marries and leaves her alone. She has a sudden sense of abandonment and begins to reevaluate her mere existence. That is until the fateful day she is accosted and taken by two men who have specific plans for her future. Dominic and Hester, advisors to the Royal Prince Viktor, had been assigned a definitive check list. They believed the beautiful blonde Camila filled every slot. They find out too late that she is not one to idly stand by quietly while they whisk her far away from her home. Soon Nikos is sent in to calm the fair-haired enchantress and teach her the customs of the Isle of Harris and Massoulieu Palace. Camila will find her true love or be forever left to live her life in the wonder of what could have been. -- I don't agree with many of Viktor's actions or inactions, but he is kind and smart. Hester and Dominic are very loyal, but Camila outsmarts them. She is feisty and independent. I liked Viktor's sister; she and Camila become fast friends. I enjoyed this historical romance but wish some things had been handled differently.

I won this book and I have really enjoyed it. Kidnapped by 2 men at a Princes order, Camille was taken away on a ship. Please read about the adventure in this book.

Spoiled Lady Camilla is kidnapped by two of Prince Victor's attendants in a mix-up. Sailing to the Isle of Harris she is to wed the prince in retaliation to his father's past demands upon his return. Very much a fantasy story combined with English Victorian proper etiquette causes clashes. Somewhat inconclusive in that nothing is mentioned about what happened to Celeste or the shooter of the prince. Some word usage mix-ups, otherwise an entertaining story.

I stayed glued to this book, hard to put down. It may have been a bit unbelievable, but very romantic.
I will say it needs lots of editing! Too for to, pale for pail, Mersey river turning to Mercy river, up the aisle when leaving the chapel instead of down…..the odd mistakes went on and on. I felt like I was reading a customer service email from another country. Still a good book!

This book has a pleasant storyline but would have been much more enjoyable with better editing. So many spelling mistakes, wrong words at wrong places, and conjunction words missing. Hard to focus on the story with so many grammatical errors.

    **spoiler alert**
After her brother's marriage Camille is feeling lonely and abandoned. She's on her way out of town when she gets hold up by an acquaintant. After visiting a store for quite some time, she's lost sight of her carriage. That's when she gets abducted by two men unknown to her. She fights with all her might and they use chloroform to calm her. Waking up on a ship she's making it very difficult for them. Unfortunately they only follow orders and cannot bring her back.
On the ship she learns to know another man named Nikos, who somewhat intruiges her. Little does she know of his heritage, but she finds a liking in him. Therefore she decides him to be her first, not the Prince Victor she'll be marrying the next day.
Camille never felt unsure of herself, but that changes when she arrives at the palace.

Will Camille and Victor find their HEA or is all lost after he sends her away after his brother's untimely death? Find out in this story with lots of twists, turns, heart wrenching feelings and love.
