Breakdown: Book Three of the Hot Wire Series Kindle Edition
How many times had reformed car thief Peter Bauer promised himself that? He’d thought he’d put it all behind him. But when a past mistake threatens to destroy the hard-won life he’s built with widowed mechanic Nikos Petrakis, what other choice does Peter have?
With shifting alliances and danger pressing in on all sides from LA’s criminal element, Peter and Nik will need their wits, skills, and more than a little good luck to find their way to their happily-ever-after in this heart-pounding, pedal-to-the-floor conclusion of the Hot Wire series.
Breakdown is the final book in Kat Cassidy’s Hot Wire romance series and contains themes of crime, suspense, family drama, hurt/comfort, dark humor, addiction, and abuse. It takes place 6 months after the events of Backstreets and is not intended to be read as a standalone. Rated M for mature.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2021This book is the final in the series and well worth the wait, once you start reading it is hard to put down. It is gritty, emotional and suspenseful. Through it all Peter and Nik only grow stronger, with Peter trusting that he is getting better and worthy of the family life he has built and fighting to keep. Nik being there for him. Well worth the wait, go read it.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2021I had forgotten how heavy this series was but as soon as I started everything came back to me. I thought it was a sweet and very satisfying ending for Peter and Nik's story🥰
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2021It was quite fitting and pretty much everyone that needed retribution got what was coming to them. Dysfunctional family reunions are brutal.
