If there was a, I guess, ‘matchmaking’ app for people looking for their perfect read then this is mine. We might still be in the honeymoon phase but I honestly think I found perfection.
All the stories are a fun, interesting, wild adventure and I love it.
Thank you, Mr. Brown. Your stories make me happy.

I quite enjoyed this collection of Brown’s short works. Stories varied in size and theme, with some being very short and some, including the titular ‘House with One Hundred Doors’ running a bit longer, but I didn’t feel there was a clunker among them. I kept turning pages and enjoyed story after story as the book moved along. The themes were all over, as were POV characters, plots, and horror elements. There were a lot of fantastic ideas conveyed, though, and even the shortest story had some sympathetic element to cling onto. I really enjoyed this entire anthology!

Felt like a lot of these stories were unfinished and left you hanging wondering what the heck just happened. A FEW were really good.

Enjoyed every tale told. Next book written needs more of the same! The suspense is surprisingly unusual and very well done!

I've been getting into reading short horror stories. This is one of the best so far! Lots of really good stories in this one!!!

Another amazing collection of short stories. The last story of this book made me cry. I loved every last word of this book, and I loved that there were parts of each story that related to another story in the book, almost like they're all connected in some way. I also really appreciated the Whistler story. It made me a little uneasy and I definitely wont be looking out any windows in the middle of the night.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best scare at bedtime.

I was familiar with Travis Brown's stories before I read this book. So I couldn't wait to get my hands on more of his work.
When I sat down to read it for the first time I was just settling into bed, I was planning on reading one or two stories before I slept. Well that didn't go to plan, I instead read the whole book! It was brilliant. This has only just been released and I already can't wait for the next one. Travis did a wonderful job on this book and I've already recommended it to everyone I know. If you love mysterious, horror riddled, cliffhangers that keep you thinking about them long after the book is over. This is the one for you.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Utterly Brilliant.

Exactly what I've been looking for. A series of short creepy tales. I began to read expecting to get bored after a few and I found compelled to finish the book. I find it clever how a number of stories tie together. I like how they have a Urban legend / folk horror slant to them.

1.0 out of 5 stars I really tried to read this. I really did

I really tried to read this book. Got to 30%. Halfway in the story of the hundred doors.
I actually felt numb with boredom. Not actually sure what the author was trying to achieve. Certainly not horror or humour.
I can’t even get myself to look at the end of the story to see if anything made sense
Definitely not my cup of tea
