    My first f/f read and I liked it. The plot isn’t as intense as some of the others and there is a lot more focus on the socializing of the group. There were a few threads left hanging at the end but I wasn’t too bothered by them. On to Gemma next.

    I'm such a huge fan of Jessica Frances I've read almost all of her books mostly the love at first crime series were I fell in lurv with the characters . I Blackmailed her brother can be read as a standalone but I do recommend that you get them in order promise you that there will be to regrets the characters story lines are well introduced organically if you start with I stole his car which is a favorite for me . I'm a fan of mm story lines so it was interesting to read ff love story I've had the chance to read in that genre before but never read one with a actual story that wasn't solely focused on sex , am happy to report that the author did amazing love story with some steamy sex scenes but with characters that have a voice ( side note if anyone has some good recommendations on ff stories with actual story line would be grateful for that info ;) . Ok onto my thoughts of this amazing read you don't want to miss out on it has characters with alot of heart and the story flowed perfectly and had me hooked till the very end . I can't wait to read more by Jessica Frances I always love digging into her amazing reads .

    I have to say once again, the Love At First Crime series is one of the best series I’ve ever read for a multitude of reasons. Jessica Frances beautifully delivers so much diversity with every book it makes it the kind of series that literally anyone could read and find a character that they can relate to. It’s something I just don’t see enough of and makes these books even more near and dear to my heart. Gushing about the magnificence of this series as a whole now out of the way I get to gush about Cynthia, Scarlett and this whole family of characters that I adore.
    Jessica Frances perfectly writes a book you won’t be able to put down with I Blackmailed Her Brother. Everything from deep emotion, laugh out loud humor, and suspense can be found in the pages of Cynthia and Scarlett’s story. Both Scarlett and Cynthia are strong, smart, and loving. They’re the kind of couple that will just have you swooning about how perfect they are together. But the road to perfect that they took had me addicted to their story. All of that combined with the tight knit family that has been built with everyone from J.P.I. adding another layer of awesome make this my very first top read of 2019!

    I Blackmailed Her Brother is book five in the Love at First Crime series by Jessica Frances. First, I want to say that I have read every single one of Jessica’s books and have enjoyed every one. Jessica loves to keep growing as an author by going places she hasn’t gone before. In the last book in this series, I Broke Into His Office, she explored her first M/M relationship and I fell in love with the characters. Now in this one, she is exploring a F/F relationship. I have only read one other F/F book in the past which was poorly done so I wasn’t sure how I would react to this one. And I really did enjoy it. The emphasis was on their relationship, the love they had for one another even though one of their hearts had been broken by the other previously. There is only one sex scene and I thought it was beautifully done.

    Cynthia Park works for Jameson Private Investigators doing computer research but has been wanting to advance into being a private investigator. She is paired with Gemma Lane to learn from her. Cynthia has been in a relationship for about four months with Scarlett Booth and is completely smitten with her. They are both falling fast for each other. Cynthia and Gemma are on a case that has hit a brick wall. There is one way that Cynthia knows of that will get them the in that they need but it means using some information on Scarlett’s brother that was given to her in confidence. Her need to excel at her job leads her to make a hasty decision. One that she will regret when Scarlett leaves her. Both of their hearts are broken, Scarlett for what Cynthia did, and Cynthia’s for making such a huge mistake.

    Fast forward several months. Scarlett’s brother has gotten in trouble and it has put Scarlett and her parents in danger. She is sure someone is following her. She has no one else to go to for help so she turns to Cynthia. Cynthia is thrilled to have this chance to redeem herself to Scarlett. Neither of them has been able to move on. Cynthia realized that Scarlett was it for her and she might never get her back.

    At first, Cynthia tries to handle things herself but eventually ends up bringing in the rest of JPI. In true Jessica Frances fashion, things took a surprising turn.

    “This time, I won’t give Scarlett up without a fight. She is mine, and I am hers. That. Is. Final.”

    As Cynthia and Scarlett spend time together, they are able to re-establish the connection they had before. They have both grown in the months they were apart and they had the chance to sort of get to know each other all over again. And maybe fall for each other all over again.

    I really loved the deep connection between Cynthia and Scarlett. Love is love, no matter what two people it is between. These two truly loved each other. I also really, really enjoyed getting updates on the whole group. Each couple from the previous books had things going on in their lives and we got to catch up with all of them. This group is more of a family than most real families are. They all love and support one another. Their antics and crazy conversations about their sex lives are hilarious and entertaining.

    This was another unique and enjoyable addition to this series. I can’t wait to find out what Jessica has planned next for this series! My hope is that we might finally get to meet the mysterious Jerry, the voice over the phone. He deserves his own happy ever after, don’t you think?! I also would love for Gemma to get her own book. She has had such a tough time caring for her sister. Maybe it’s her turn to find happiness?

    loved this story. Fast paced with betrayal, twists, turns, and drama that leaves you on the edge of your seat. I fell in love with the dynamic between the characters and honestly could not put it down
