Beautifully Broken: An Unconventional Love Story (The Infinite Love Series Book 4) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 74 ratings

Jacqueline
I'm messed up. I could say it was a result of my childhood, but honestly I blame myself. The medicine made me feel numb; the blood made me feel high. He wasn't supposed to be mine, but although he was scared in the beginning, he didn't run from my demons. He found beauty in my flaws, beauty in the cracks that barely held me together.

Lee
I had it good--various girls of the week, my dream job, stability--and even then, I knew deep down something was missing. Madalynne opened a door for me; Jacqueline lit the flame. She wasn't perfect--far from it--but underneath the pain and the scars, I saw her. Sometimes the ones worth fighting for don't know their worth. Sometimes being broken is beautiful.

Beautifully Broken is the fourth book in the Infinite Love series.

The Infinite Love series comes with hard hitting subjects such as bullying, suicide, depression, disorders, abuse, addiction, fears, love, death, and more. The stories aren't going to be pretty, but they are going to be real.

This book was better than the first one. The characters were so well written and the story was so beautifully heartbreaking. At points in the story I really wanted to punch Lee for being such a dick and making bad choices but in the end he won me over. I actually used to date someone who is bi-polar so this was a story that was very close to my heart. Jacqueline's struggles with her childhood and then her disease really make you stop and think about what you have and to be thankful for it and not take it for granted. Very well written story Kira Adams!

I love Kira Adams. When you read her books, you know what you're getting is real life. Real life challenges. The good, the bad and the ugly. This is book 3 in the Infinite Love Series, and at times it's really ugly. The story of Jacqueline and Sam is, quite literally, of two utterly broken people trying to climb their way in to a level of normal. You don't want to miss it!

What a great book! Just when I think I couldn't fall in love with the characters from the previous book, I fell in love with Lee. Jaci and Lee are perfect together. I truly admire this story and the strength that Kira wrote Lee with. This story holds very true to many real stories of people struggling with being bipolar and their relationships. This is not just your normal love story it is something people can relate to more and see that not every relationship is perfect and wonderful. Each relationship takes work from both sides! I loved this book.

Kira Adams books so far! It is more of a dark romance but it does have a few lol moments. I really enjoyed reading Lee's and Jacqueline's story. I love Jacqueline and her beautifully broken ways and seeing what she goes through in life makes you want everything to come together for her but you will have to read this amazingly written book to see the outcome!

    * I received a copy of this from the author for an honest review*

You need to read this book. End of story.

SPOILERS AHEAD!! DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS BOOK!!

After reading My forever, I was hesitant to start this book because I was so disappointed with the last one. Saying that, my hopes for this one weren't very high. However, I was so very happily surprised and I actually really enjoyed this book. I could relate so much to both Lee and Jacqueline. I also quickly fell in love with Lee's cousin, Austyn (and the spelling of her name) and her boyfriend.

Sidenote** And what a pleasant surprise that the next installment in this series is about them!!**

But back to this story. I was nervous that Jacqueline's struggles were going to be overdramatized and come across as hard to believe and it was going to be a huge pity party on her part. But, it never was and I believe her issues were very relatable and obviously sad, but that just made it all the more amazing when she overcame them. I admired her strength and although she had every right to blame and curse the world for every problem she had, she didn't. She just lived her life and pushed through all her obstacles and I loved that approach. I know obviously it took a toll on her and she took it out on herself with cutting, but I just really appreciated the fact that she didn't have the "it's everyone else's fault but mine" attitude.

Now to her and Lee's relationship..

    One word. Perfect.

They somehow fit together so perfectly even with all of their issues. LOVED.

"I could tell you were broken from a mile away... but it was beautiful. You were beautiful."

Just the perfect about of cheeseball for my liking. I also enjoyed how he didn't lie and tell her nothing was wrong with her and all of that nonsense. He was straightforward and told her the truth and instead said he loved her in spite of all of her baggage. GOLD STAR FOR HIM.

And when she stopped cutting and says "Being with you has been my medicine." Ugh, I died a little bit. It didn't come off as cheesy or too much at all. It was perfect. Even the very last paragraph of the book ..

"He became my cure. Before him, I was convinced things like that didn't happen except in fairy tales. He proved me wrong at every turn. He gave me hope in the darkness."

I mean does it get any better than that? How very realistic and hope inspiring coming from a fictional book. Usually it's all fluff and happy endings everywhere. Where there was a happy ending with this, it wasn't all smiles and sunshine. It was full of work and difficulties. Real life material. GOLD STARS EVERYWHERE.

    *random sidenote again*
I loved when they skydived together. How symbolic of their relationship and how their relationship was unchartered territory. Having faith that everything will be okay in the end.

I really enjoyed this book and I'm so happy I stuck with it after the first one. I can't wait to read the next installment in this series because I loved Austyn and Avery.

    Smiles for days!

The second book of the infinite love series doesn't disappoint! The two main characters of this one had minor roles in the first of the series but it is fantastic to see them come to life. Kira Adams has told the story so that everyone can relate to it and it is fantastically written with highs and lows. The reader can connect with these characters and you really get absorbed into their story. This is fast becoming a one of my favourite series of books! Can't wait for the next instalment.

Beautifully Broken By Kira Adams Book 3 in the Infinite love series.

This book is about Jacqueline and Lee's relationship and their POV’s on the hurt, pain, and anguish they have both suffered in the past. We first hear about Jacqueline and Lee in Book 2 ‘ My forever’ and the hurt and heartbreak these two went through with Parker and Maddy.

This story also hits on taboo subjects (like the other books) and I like that, especially mental health, as we will all face some sort of mental health issues in our lives (directly or indirectly) and we need to get over being scared to talk about it for fear of exclusion, judgment and being seen as weak, as it's a common illness.

Jacqueline and Lee are polar opposites and everything they fear of the other, though they are so suited to each other, though bravely it takes one person to take on the challenge and change the fate for the good of these two people!

I really liked the characters and their story. Learning of their past is not the easiest, though I did feel that some parts of their past that were brought up needed a little more weight to it.

I enjoyed the story, the writing style and the hitting on home truths. It would probably help if you have read book 2 ‘My Forever’ though this book can be read as a stand-alone.

(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to author Kira Adams.)

    Lee…
“I was nursing a broken heart when I met her – as was she.”

    Jacqueline…
“I met Lee and he taught me how to live. He became my cure.”

This was a story about two broken and scarred people, who found happiness together.

Lee and Jacqueline were both scarred individuals, both emotionally and physically. Both had mother-issues, both had problems with love and intimacy, and both had people in their past that they had loved, leaving them both hurting.

“Why can’t I find someone normal?”

The storyline in this revolved around Lee and Jacqueline as they worked through their problems and towards each other. Both of them made mistakes and did things they weren’t proud of, but both of them slowly realised how much they meant to each other.
The romance in this was slow building, but there were also several spanners thrown in the works, so things didn’t run smoothly at all.

“You’re like the craziest girl I’ve ever met.”

The ending to this was happy, and a little surprising! I didn’t expect the story to end the way it did.
