About the author

Rosie Green burst onto the writing scene at the age of nine, anonymously penning a weekly magazine for her five-year-old brother (mysteriously titled the 'Willy' comic) and fooling him completely by posting it through the letterbox every Thursday.
Rosie's continuing love of writing saw her study English at Dundee University and spend her twenties working on various teenage magazines, including Jackie and Blue Jeans, and meeting pop stars. Then she got serious and worked as a newspaper sub-editor at the Dundee Courier before moving to Surrey and setting up an organic veg box delivery business.
These days, she lives with her family in the beautiful county of Northumberland and has finally realised a life-long dream of becoming a published author. She currently writes the Little Duck Pond Cafe series of novellas, which is centred around life in a village cafe. Each book can be read as a stand-alone story.
Rosie has also written books under the name Catherine Ferguson.
New for 2025: The Pop-Up Cake Shop, out in April; Daydreams & Doughnut Cake, out in June; and Teacakes & Tangos, which will be published in August.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2020The days leading up to a wedding should be the most joyous but can be the most stressful of a woman's life. Normally the focus is all on the bride, occasionally on the groom, but being the tiny village of Sunnybrook, where everyone has something to do with everyone else, and the Little Duck Pond Cafe is the hub of all goings on, this book showcases how everyone is affected by this special week. The book opens with a wedding, just not Ellie and Zak's main affair.
It sets a playful tone before the drama that is to come.
What follow are individual alternating chapters with viewpoints of the worries of each village resident in the bridal party. Tough issues are faced, such as infertility, dementia, being accepted and more. Lines are crossed and tangled as the days to the wedding march ever closer. A confession must be made. Feelings may be hurt. Secrets are being kept!
Will Zak and Ellie make it to the alter and celebration?
Fans of this series will not be disappointed.
I did receive a copy of this book but the review rating and opinion are my own. Warms and delights the reader's heart
- Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2020Usually with books in this series, each story focuses on one main character, but with this one, the author alternates chapters between all the main characters we have met throughout the series and loved.
The story centres around Ellie’s wedding. It was great to see everyone coming together in the run up to the wedding. It’s just another reminder of what a wonderful community spirit exists throughout the series as well as the relationships and friendships that run within it.
As with every wedding, there are a few hiccups along the way as well as each of the characters having something going on within their personal lives. Where would the fun be if everything ran smoothly?
A Winter Wedding At The Little Duck Pond Cafe brings a delightful mixture of romance and friendship with a wedding included at the most magical time of the year. It’s a heartwarming and cosy read that radiates warmth and everything that’s good.
My thanks to Rachel’s Random Resources for a readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2020A new Rosie Green novella is just what the doctor ordered for cold and dreary January and the latest instalment, A Winter Wedding at The Little Duck Pond Café, is pure reading delight from beginning to end.
The pretty village of Sunnybrook simply cannot contain its excitement! Zak and Ellie’s wedding is fast approaching and everybody is simply cock-a-hoop to see these two lovebirds finally walk down the aisle and begin a lifetime of pure and utter bliss. Everyone at The Little Duck Pond Café is bursting with joy and a hen party to remember is being planned for the blushing bride to be who is over the moon after Zak surprises her with a romantic surprise wedding gift. The Christmas Eve wedding celebration is going to be simply magical. But the best laid plans do have a habit of going awry as Zak and Ellie discover…
The happy ending everyone had been counting on doesn’t look so certain anymore as obstacle after obstacle is thrown in the way of Zak and Ellie. As the path to the altar gets rockier with each passing day, will a Yuletide miracle ensure the happy ending everyone has been waiting for? Or will Zak and Ellie end up being torn asunder this holiday season?
Rosie Green’s Little Duck Pond novellas never fail to put a great big smile on your face and this latest charmer is definitely not an exception. Funny, heartwarming and brilliantly romantic, put the kettle on and get ready to say hello to some old friends at The Little Duck Pond Café – preferably with a hot cup of tea and a slice of something delicious close by.
A fabulous novella that will make you laugh and cry, A Winter Wedding at The Little Duck Pond Café is another winner by Rosie Green.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful series
I’ve been reading the books in order and just finished number 8. Each story is adorable and well written. These are great books on the shorter side which I think make them even more enjoyable to read as you get to go into a new persons story through each book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, heart-warming reading
From the very early days of the blog, this is a series of novellas that I have been following and very much enjoying. I love the way the author has built on a set of three core characters, that we have come to know and love, and continued to tell us their stories, whilst at the same time, introducing new people to keep the series fresh and interesting.
In this eighth instalment of the series, we have reached the point where two of the characters from book one have finally reached their wedding day. Of course, in novels, the path of true love never runs smoothly and there are the inevitable hiccups on the way to the trip down the aisle and I really enjoyed following the last couple of weeks in the life of the couple leading up to their wedding. All my favourite characters put in an appearance, Maisie and Maisie-Moo are as cute as ever. There are some touching moments with Ellie and her mum, and Primrose gets to meet more of her extended family.
I also enjoyed catching up with what was going on with Fen and Jaz, and the newer character of Madison, who is a breath of fresh air in the series. A Christmas wedding is always a highlight of a book, and we also have the hen party and the festivities of the night before the wedding to enjoy. Bits of the book really made me laughs, and everything turns out for the best, as we’ve come to expect in Sunnybrook.
Am easy to read, heart-warming addition to the series and a lovely step along the road these characters are taking. I am looking forward to reviewing the newest story in the series soon, so make sure you check back because it is a goodie, one of my favourites so far.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fab series, set in a lovely community.
This was a lovely catch up with the inhabitants of Sunny Brook and all at the Little Duck Pond Cafe. The story was told from the perspectives of Ellie, Jaz and Fen, key characters from previous books, and it was great to get their insight into the forthcoming event, as well as to see how their own relationships had developed. Fen remains one of my favourite characters.
After the lead up to this story, I would have liked a little bit more about the actual wedding itself, and to have shared in more of the warmth of Zak and Ellie's relationship. I really like them as a couple and just felt, for me, the lovely Zak was a bit absent, when he should have been one of the stars of the show. (Can you tell I've got a soft spot for him?)
Overall, it's a fab series, with characters who will become your friends and a setting you will want to move into.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet Christmasy romance
A very pleasant story of a Christmas wedding, with a few secrets and mysteries thrown in. Most enjoyable. I haven't read of this series before, but I'll be going back for more!
