    Love is for the Dogs is a cute second chance romance story. After having her heart broken during last year’s dog show, Trisha returns to Last Chance Beach. Joining her is her dog Chloe and Trisha’s younger twin sisters Olivia and Sophia.

    Trisha’s hopes for a relaxing weekend is diminished by her run-in with ex-boyfriend Landon and being accused of dog-napping by her rival Blythe.

    As Landon helps Trisha clear her name, sparks fly and her trip might give her a well-earned second chance.

    This was a fun, cute story. I loved the details about the beach setting, the attractions, and the local residents. Olivia and Sophia provided humor with their bickering and teenage antics which tended to drive Trisha crazy.

    As for Trisha and Landon you could feel their chemistry. Although Trisha was hurt by their break up, you root for her and Landon to get back together.

    As with any short story, there’s always the need for more. This is one of those stories where it would’ve been perfect for a full novel. There could’ve been more details about Trisha’s family history and flashbacks to what cause her and Landon’s breakup.

    Also, as for the ending. I felt I wrapped up too quickly. I would’ve preferred more suspense and the scene where the culprits get their comeuppance.

    Aside from that this is a nice read for summertime beach reads.

    Love is for the Dogs is a sweet, clean romance perfect for an afternoon on the beach or curled up by a fire dreaming of the beach.

    Trisha, a veterinarian tech, returns to Last Chance Beach for the yearly dog show. With her twin siblings in tow, along with her beloved Maltese, Chloe, she hopes to avoid running into her ex-boyfriend, Landon. Trisha caught Landon and her arch-rival, Blythe, in a kiss after last years show and she wants to avoid them both this year.

    When Blythe’s dog turns up missing, she immediately cast suspicions on Trisha. Can Trisha put aside her broke heart to help Landon solve the case?
    Will things finally work out for Trisha and the twins after so much heartache in their lives?

    Read this quick tale to find out all the answers and relish your time on Last Chance Beach.

    The writing style beautifully describes every scene from the sunburnt noses to the houses and the town. Annee Jones does a remarkable job of pulling the reader into life on the island.

    I highly recommend this book to all lovers of the genre as well as anyone looking for a quick, uplifting story.

    I loved this delightful, just the right length book from beginning to end!! Following the story of Trisha, her twin sisters, Olivia and Sophia and Chloe, their show dog as they made the annual trip to Last Chance Bay for the competition, portrayed the usual, fun, sister banter adding warmth and entertainment to an already sweet story. Then throwing Landon, Trisha’s ex, into the mix brought a twist of “what if”,, causing the mind to hope…..but can the past be forgiven? Thank you Annee for bringing such joy to my heart!!!!
