I couldn’t put the book down! Read it in 2 days! An emotional, heartfelt, gut wrenching (pun intended) romance that depicts the various levels of maturity in young love. An unexpected death, steamy and erotic make up sex. This book has all the above and ready for the next book in the series! Thank you Stacy Eaton!

I adore the Young Family but man I wanted to shake Riley Young so hard that this girl would get some good sense in her. This is the 4th book in the Loving a Young series and it was one of those books that had me literally wanting to spank this young woman and teach her some manners and good learning. It's a good book do not get me wrong, a really good book and we need all the push and pull from Riley and her best friend Ethan to make it this way. Ethan has been in love with this girl as long as he has walked this earth. Riley has been his best friend and friends with benefits yet she hasn't noticed that her BFF has fallen in love with her. Or maybe she noticed and is ignoring that fact? Anyways Ethan decides it is time to move on past her and takes a job with the country and training for 3 months across the country. Then during this time life throws up a big old hurdle in the young family that Riley is in the middle of two ways. This book will have you crying so make sure you have tissues and a full glass of wine. You might need it. I am so looking forward to the next series the Winston family.

We are back with the Young siblings and this time the story belongs to Riley Young. A story that will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and a ride in which you suspect many hearts will be crushed.
During the day , Riley is a fourth grade teacher, but at night she is your typical party girl. Lots of drinking, partying , and late nights. Her one constant is her best friend Ethan. He’s the one always there to take care of her when she’s drunk, and scratch the itch when she pleases. He is also the one that has been deeply in love with her since they were sixteen.
When he realizes she will never love him back, he takes a promotion in another town that will also keep him away for the four months of training.
While at first Riley starts dating someone else, some unexpected turn of events and a tragedy starts opening her eyes to Ethan.
Will it be too late for them? What happens when another tragedy occurs and both feel they are the one at fault?
As usual, this talented author delivers a great story about family, losses, second chances and love. She also reminders us that life is messing but worth the ride.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I absolutely love the Young family! With each book you learn more about their background and meet many more different characters but it always comes back to family is always there for family no matter what and I really love that . Riley one of the Young girls that comes across as a bit of a rebel in the family and a party girl despite being a teacher and she takes advantage of family friend Ethan who I have to say has the patience of a saint! This book was very emotional and in fact will take you on one hell of a rollercoaster ride as you will laugh, you will cry (a lot!) and you will swoon! Love the Youngs and I can’t wait to find out more about the Winstons. This series is a fantastic small town romance and I eagerly await each book!

I love this series and was happy to hear more about some of the characters in previous books while reading Riley’s story. I had a hard time liking Riley. She is a little wild and a lot selfish. Her family and the Winston family have been close and grown up together. I felt bad for Ethan Winston as he has been in love with Riley for a long time. I can’t believe that Riley just looked at him like a friend with benefits. Ethan is a great guy and a good cop. I was glad to see him go away for training for three months for a new job. I was hoping that Riley would see how much she missed him. There are things going on back home while Ethan is gone that broke my heart. Ethan has so much to get through that I wanted to jump in the book to help him! This is a super good book that I strongly encourage you to read. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

Riley and Ethan's families are very close and spend all holidays, birthdays etc. with each other. Everyone thinks that Riley and Ethan should be a couple. But what they are is definitely not a couple. They are most definitely friends with benefits, especially when Riley is drunk, which is quite often. What an absolutely fantastic story this was and I loved it. Love not requited. But he loves deeply. Does she love him or not? A new job. Training far away. Pregnant? Who is pregnant? Really?? OMG, what on earth is he going to say now? Darn I love any book written by this author. Every single one. And this is certainly no exception. Very highly recommended.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This book was as good if not better than the others in the series. I warn you to have a box of tissues as you read. Each of the characters are believable, though I don’t think there are too many Ethans around. He treated RIley like gold, loving her since high school and putting up with her selfish ways. He was the one that was always there to pick her up after partying a little too much. She loves him as a brother or good friend with benefits but not in the same way as Ethan loved her. When she gets pregnant, he wants to be a great father but still Riley isn’t ready. It’s not till some time later and a difficult time for both of them that woke up Riley to her true feelings. Great book that I couldn’t put down. I look forward to more in the series.

Riley is one mixed up lady who has a big problem knowing what real love is. What she dose know is that she needs Ethan in her life. But Ethan has been in love with her for years.
This is a really emotional story of love, heartache, loss and finding out what it means to be in love.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stubbornness
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 17, 2021
Riley is stubborn, pig-headed and doesn't realise she's in love with her best friend Ethan. Ethan, on the other hand, has always known he's in love with her but when she fails to reciprocate his feelings he decides that it is time to move away. A load of misunderstandings, a secret baby and a family death are what occur between them. It however takes birth to bring them together properly and to realise exactly how they feel for each other. At points I wanted to strangle them both or bang their heads together. This is a complex love story that proves love is never straightforward.
