Jackson: Book 2 of a 3 book arc (Reed Security 14) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 950 ratings

This is the 14th book in the Reed Security Series and the 2nd book of a 3 book arc. The arc books need to be read in order and it is suggested that the rest of the series is read in order as well.

Jackson
She's beautiful and so damn feisty. I don't know how she ended up with a$$hole she was with, but I'm here now and I'm going to help her. I can't have her though. She's damaged. She hides behind a tough exterior, but deep down, she needs some serious help. Help that I don't know how to give. And now she's wrapped up in this mess with Reed Security and we're on the run together. I knew she would be tempting. I knew I couldn't just walk away. Damsels in distress are my thing. I want her so much, but not until she deals with her past. Only then will I make her mine.

Raegan
Ugh, I hate men that think they need to save you. Jackson is like that. He thinks I need someone to coddle me and talk things through with me. But what I really need is a man to take me and make me his. In a positive way, of course. I've done the other way and it wasn't fun. But I'm not a wallflower. I know that bad shit happens. I also know that I just need to move on. I've never been one to dwell on the past, but Jackson doesn't want to hear that. He wants me to heal. I wish he would listen to me when I tell him I just need some sexual healing.

Where do I even begin. This book had me all over the map emotionally. I think I experienced every single emotion to be had at least twice throughout my entire read. I am still dying for the next book in this since it will give me Chance's conclusion (which I am on pins and needles to see how it plays out!). Reagan was an AMAZING character and i related to her so well. I loved her snark and sarcasm. I also really appreciate how she was handling things. It is not your every-day kinda mentality and it is a refreshing change from how most heroines are in romance reads. She was tough and sassy without being a bitch or standoffish. It was a break from the norm and it was fresh and fun and definitely different. I enjoy that it wasn't just a simple answer as to why she stayed with her ex. It wasn't a cut and dry deal and that is true to real life. Nothing is ever as simple as that. It made it feel relatable even to someone that has never been in that situation. Jackson was a great character as well. I loved his turmoil in the situation and it was an easy read to see where he was coming from in regards to his relationship with Reagan. As always the banter and discussions between the guys were hilarious. But the drunken discussion with Lucy, Isa, Lindsey and Reagan was so funny I almost peed my pants! And the twist from the very beginning twisted me up in ways only Giulia Lagomarsino can do. I was so emotionally involved I was literally talking (in some cases screaming) at my kindle! Another masterpiece. Can't wait for the next one! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book had such great action/adventure sequences, a slow moving sweet romance, and incredible plot twists. It was the best book in the Reed Security series so far. There was so much humor as well that I had to hold my side many times! Loved it!

I have read a lot of the books in this series as well as the ones that came before. I absolutely love the humor this author adds to the stories. I literally laugh out loud when the fellows from Reed Security all have their heads together to discuss all of life’s biggest problems. (ie, how to fix issues with their women).

Okay, if you wanted a big story line for Jackson and Raegan, you're really not going to get one. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's not like the rest.

This is book 2 in the three part group. If you've read Sniper you know what went down. The heartache the pain, all that.

This book have you more humor, done loss, heartache, but all in all, you got a great glimpse of Reed. Jackson and Raegan we're the main focus, but you've been handed bits and pieces of what's going on with Chance aka Sniper.

This book was a little lighter to read with the jokes and sarcasm, but if you really look into the story, Reed is crumbling and they need each other more than ever.

Jackson and Raegan make it all better in this book. The light hearted banter, the craziness that goes on between them, and the fact that these two were made for one another. It's not your average Reed book, yet it makes everything so much better so far.

I will not post any spoilers but this book took me really low then back up. Chance is missing Raegan goes undercover and is saved before she is killed. Jackson and Raegan confess their love for each other and get married while in hiding from the Broker along with the rest of th Reed Security family. The men of Reed Security are still up to their living ways, fighting with each other, giving really bad advice about women and talking about landscaping and other oddities that you expect from these hot Alpha males. Love this book and actually had to put it down at one point. Thank you for the words they really are the perfect escape.

It’s about time Jackson admitted he cared for Reagan! He’s sheltered her and her parents for the last two years and when danger comes her way again the two are on their on making their way to safety. Lots of action, suspense, some “oh no she didn’t” moments directed to the author, lots of steam and love.

    Spoilers ahead...

So it was an ok read but really seemed to drag on for longer than I liked.

I'm still not sure why there is a little trilogy in the middle of the series, but This book didn't seem to be truly just Jackson and Raegan's story... It was another group book with almost everyone's point of view. Which, I love all the characters, but this one just falls short.

I think the biggest part of the problem was that around 30% in I wanted to stop reading it. It ticked me off. While I didn't fully believe they died, it was quite convincing and it really did tear them all apart a bit. And even when they came back, the women were unforgiving for everything they had gone through. Which was also understandable, but did not make for a good happy read.

I'm still trying to figure out why Chance was taken as well. And at this point, he's really been gone for far too long. The fact that he missed the wedding is garbage too.

So while the book is an okay read, it's definitely not something I particularly enjoyed. I'm looking forward to the conclusion and how they get Morgan and her daughter and Chance all back. And to see who this mystery person is. I still feel like the chief is in there somewhere.

Jackson automatically feels the connection with Reagan as soon as he picks her up after being beat by her boyfriend. He feels like he has to take her under his wing and take of her by taking her to his house and protecting her and her parents. Reagan cracks me up with her first impression of Knight. And Lord have mercy the girl can’t shoot to save her life…. Literally!!! The hookup in the woods while running from the enemies was HOT!! I loved their relationship and their arguments. Jackson and his I love you … maybe… I think… I’m glad he finally gets his crap together at the end. This was a very good book!!

Totally amazing. Jackson and Reagan' love story. Their connection from day one. Through all the obstacles trying to stay alive they finally stopped fighting their feeling for each other. She is a hand full and stronger then you think.

This storyline had everything. So many emotions feeling their pain of loss. Love joy laughter sorrow loss survival etc.

Secondary characters also having a chapter allowed us to see and feel their thoughts.
Cap had to make so many difficult decisions to keep his team and families safe from harm. His pain was felt a true leader.

Giulia always adding great humour that made me laugh so hard.

Looking forward to Chance. How Reed Security is going to rebuild, the twists turns they encounter to find Chance and who else is behind wanting to distroy them.
How will Giulia bring it all together? Looking forward to the adventures.
