It was supposed to be simple; do the internship, make Dad happy, and go away to lick my wounds. I’m sick of the way I live, but a terrible breakup from four years ago still haunts me.

The guy hates me and I know why. But I hate him just as much. He wrecked me for good when he turned suddenly straight after one encounter and I never trusted another guy since.

If I’m going to earn my ticket out, I need to do this boring internship. And Theo just so happens to be the only thing to help me pass the time. Annoying him is my new, favorite hobby.

And my heart nearly explodes.

Maybe there’s more to him than I let myself believe. The way he looks at me while we work is almost enough to give me a glimmer of hope. If I was foolish enough, I might try something that could burn down in flames again.

Oh, who am I kidding? I’ve always been foolish enough.

    While my heart is actively grieving because this series has now come to its end, I couldn't of been more happy with this finale.

    Justin and Theo's chemistry was off the charts! Every time they were in a room together, I was either laughing, panting, swooning, or crying, and I was loving every second of it! And the backstory that made them even require that second chance, made my heart ache. I'm just glad that Theo was able to work through his feelings and that things worked out for both of them in the end because these two were made for each other.

    And that epilogue...*chefs kiss*. Hayden found the absolute perfect way to say goodbye to all of these boys.

    So, while I'm saddened to see my favorite series so far from Hayden, and one of my favorite series EVER, come to an end, I look forward to what else he's going to deliver.

    Until then, farewell boys. I've loved you for 9 months already and I know I'll love you forever. *Runs off crying*

    The Office Nemesis Calamity by Hayden Hall is the 7th (and last) book in his low angst, fun and lovable Frat Brats of Santa Barbara series. This is Theo and Justin's story.

    We briefly met Justin in earlier books, as this is a series of linked 'standalones', involving a group of friends who have all attended the same top-end college, Highgate Academy. Justin had apparently had his heart broken at some stage and was living his best life as a 'one and done', love 'em and leave 'em pro.

    Until his path crosses once again with that very same heartbreaker Theo, who had thought he wanted a gay relationship with Justin but as soon as things started to get intimate, decided he was straight after all. Turns out that maybe Theo isn't so straight, when they have their second-chance encounter, working together in the same office.....

    I have enjoyed every book in this wonderful series and can highly recommend if you love:

    From the first book in this series to Justin and Theo, I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing these characters come to life and find happiness. Justin and Theo had an unusual story, from their high school breakup to their sharing an office. Justin seemed to enjoy torturing Theo, until a burst of attraction drives Theo away to determine what was happening. Just as they seem to finally accept the resurrected attraction, the differing future visions seemed to wrench them apart. All is not lost, as both young men compromises and settle some of the thorny problems. HEA is believable and satisfying…

    This is the 5th book I've read from this author in the past 4 months. And it's one of my favorites. The story felt like a real life story about 2 young men who experiment in high school and separated when one of them was not sure they were gay. Four years later the romance had never died but there were complications like in real life. Tha KS Hayden for this story!

    When you think you'll never see the one person that broke your heart in high school, ends up being your boss at the one company you went to be an intern. Justin's father owned his own company, having Justin be an intern, what Justin didn't realize was that he would be the intern to Theo. This was a great ending to this series, the steam, sarcasm and caring they had towards each other is a task they never saw coming and fought hard to forget.

    I really enjoyed getting to know Theo and Justin and seeing them come together to become a couple was fun, sexy and low angst once they sorted through their past relationship mess.

    There were a lot of emotions at play for both Theo and Justin and as well as working through them, learning to communicate and be true to themselves, they both had to think about where they really saw their futures heading and possibly adjust their plans, Theo especially. Sometimes it's worth giving someone a second chance.

    I loved how Justin's dad was with Theo and how he helped him to realise what was important and also gave Theo the acknowledgement his own family didn't give about his worth as a person and to the company. I also liked that he understood his son, even if he wasn't able to tell him that and show him as much as he could have.

    Though I seem to have only read one other novel in this series, I didn't feel I was missing any information, but I will be rectifying this and reading the previous novels.

    Two hurting and grumpy MCs getting their second chance at love? I couldn’t wait to read this, the last installment of this series, and Justin’s story did not dissapoint! Hayden’s words gift us so much in this book as we first hand experience the impact of seemingly careless actions, the longing for a person who you cannot forget and the fear of rejection and loss in a multitude of ways as we gain insight into how previous events impacted so deeply on both Theo and Justin; and watching them avoid, acknowledge and finally accept their need and love for each other was bittersweet and beautiful to watch. And the epilogue? Perfectly tying up this series, bringing all of the boys we have come to know and love watching find their soulmates coming together in an event full of humour and emphasising the gift of having forever friends, was so very lovely.
    Both of the MCs in this book needed to be loved so badly and Hayden has this amazing ability to place the reader right into the heart of the worlds he creates with his stunning imagery and puts into words the emotions his characters are feeling in a way that makes you feel them too. I have so very much enjoyed getting to know these wonderful men, thank you for sharing them with us, Hayden
