    Honestly, this was one of the most fun, sexiest--oh my gosh, is it sexy like fire!--stories I've read in a long time. I. Love. This. Something tells me I'll be reading it again, just because I'm so fond of Ryder and Lexi. The transformation of Ryder (and, of course, the subsequent transformation of Lexi) was just really well done. Little moments in conversation, little insights into his thoughts, so there was a definite believable journey from what he started as to what he became, when he threw off his mantle of cluelessness.

    But Buffy?!

    Laugh Out Loud hilarity, there.

    You will definitely enjoy this one. I promise!

    Lexi is the favorite of the duo in this one for me. With his pining it was natural for him to brush off many flirty attempts by Ryder in the beginning and I can't say I was a fan of the way it came off as Ryder playing with him before they actually said all the words. But I think it was Lexi's way of being present, being able to see Ryder, and his whole way of being there for his friends, family, their struggles, joys, and confrontations. His whole being drew me in. Even when he was being a little dumb about Ryder.

    I wish Ryder were truly his match. When he was on and good, he was good, but there were a bunch of moments that he both nearly and really did stuff it up that I couldn't love him. I liked him, sure, because he did have times where his utter joy in everything that is Lexi brought him closer to the best version of himself. What I didn't like was how he was so absolutely clueless about everything that he hurt Lexi, seemingly toyed with him, and then continued to almost punish him because he couldn't really open his eyes and get his head out of where the sun doesn't shine.

    The resolution was a bit rushed, but with a shorter, low-angst story I don't think I can fault that too much, it just needed to hold more weight than it did. It definitely felt like a young college kid book with some of its sophmoric humor, but again, with the setting being in college, it's not a true fault, it just made the book seem a little sillier than it could be. None of those things are truly negative things, just observations. Lexi was the star and his group of amazing friends are absolutely the draw to the series that I will most assuredly return to.

    This is a modern queer romance, the first book in a series that should be read in order. This was my first book by this author and it was a great afternoon read. Reading a little bit about the cheer world was interesting and the MC’s are cute together

    Whilst I have read quite a few college/uni books, I have never read any featuring cheerleaders. To be honest I know next to nothing about cheerleading. I took to both characters straight a way and too be honest, I even liked Kati, Lexi's twin sister. Lexi was sweet and pining for Ryder. Ryder whilst trying to portray a bad boy really wasn't and whilst he relied on hookups, he was so oblivious to who was looking him in the face. Although I did get a bit confused when Lexi went from best friends brother to love interest and I still do not know what caused Ryder to change
    Regardless it was a fun quick read and I was totally hooked with the cheerleader and Garrett. I want Garrett to have his own story

    A fun book of cheerleaders, college romances, friendships, and seeing someone at the right time.

    Lexi has been in love with Ryder for years but would never say anything as Ryder is not at all interested in relationships. However, one of Ryder's hookups goes sour and leads to some drama which has him deciding to swear off hookups and men forever. This newfound celibacy leads to more time spent with friends, Lexi especially, and finding joy in a relationship beyond just sex. There is some miscommunication and quite a bit of meddling friends, but the story is pretty fun and sweet with a bit of college age drama thrown in for good measure. A fun and easy read!
