Will of Dragons (Bel's War Book 2) Kindle Edition
Evil hides beneath armor of gleaming white.
The new civil war has cracked the empire apart as Turi and Rio race to gather allies against Clan Ishima’s brutality. The enemy is ten steps ahead, and Turi is pushed to his limit to stop the evil a corrupted paladin order has unleashed.
Demari, finally fulfilling a lifelong dream at sea with his brother, finds himself recruited into the designs of a goddess and soul-bound to a man he barely knows. In the fight for supremacy in the empire’s waters, Demari’s newfound power and connection will alter the course of the war and change his life forever.
Meanwhile, back on Trosika the new empress, Sarina Marias, faces betrayal, ancient magic, and intrigue as Ishima agents make their next move to control the island. When fate brings her face to face with the God of War, can she match her will to his?
Will of Dragons is the second book in the Bel’s War series, an exciting LGBTQ+ epic fantasy with gay, trans, and non-binary protagonists!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2022Format: KindleThe civil war is breaking the empire apart but from all this emerge new powers and new atrocities. Turi and Rio are trying to bring together allies but the Ishima seem way ahead of them. Turi is forced to confront an evil produced by the actions of an evil paladin order. Demari finds himself tied to a vampire in order to save both their lives, while Philip and Rio seem to lose pieces of themselves. The new empress, Sarina Marias, finds herself facing betrayal and intrigue. If this is not bad enough, the gods and goddesses are helping or hindering as the case may be.
What an incredible epic story this is! Every step taken reveals more issues, more changes, more twists, more betrayals. Lives are lost; lives are changed but they do not lose sight of the goal. Many of the loveable characters from the first book appear and many of them are becoming pairs. It should also be noted that by the end of this book, everyone has changed in one way or another. There are many puzzle pieces coming to light and they are yet to be fit and it should be intriguing to see how these changes coalesce and if they are effective.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2022Format: KindleFirst things first— this book is part of a series, and you’ll want to begin, if you haven’t already, with the first one. Everything I loved about the first book can be found here as well: intricate plotting that feels both detailed and fast moving, compelling and nuanced characters that are easy to invest in, and more than one rollercoaster ride through a wide spectrum of emotions. I’m not going to attempt a plot overview here— 1) I couldn’t do it justice and 2) you deserve a chance to experience the whirligig of it all for yourself. The more I read from this author, the more I want to read more— I highly recommend both this book and the series.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI have four major complaints about these books, and two are similar. They have a cast of thousands, so it’s hard to keep track of who is who or what their relationships are. They also have a map of thousands, and who is going where and why is impossible to keep up with. I finally just gave in to the fact that I was lost, and none of the place names truly mattered. I also don’t like the made-up honorifics. I applaud the desire to use inclusionary words, but making them up using similar suffixes muddies the waters and doesn’t do anything to clarify genders. I would use readymade words like Cleric or Liege. The last problem I have is with the kin word, which apparently describes a single non-cisgender person or a group of persons, regardless of gender. Maybe going back and ready the first one would have helped, but I’m not into rereading this series, every time a llonew book comes out. I also hopes he limits it to a trilogy.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2022Format: KindleThis was fantastic! It would be to your benefit to read the first story in the series first, Decent of Ravens. There are several POV’s in the story and I don’t think I could pick just one as a favorite. I seriously loved everything about this story! The world building is great and continues to grow. The premise is sooo freakin good, all intricately woven together. It kept me on the edge of my seat, it was gripping! Overall, a fantastic story with excellent and growing world building. It was well written with great pacing!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2022Format: KindleI am so glad I reread book one first because there are multiple POVs and details to keep track of. I was pulled right back into these character's highly engaging story and I absolutely cannot wait to see how it all wraps up.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2022Format: KindleLoves this continuation of the Bel's War series! Definitely start with the first book as this is not a standalone! This book draws you in from start to finish and is so epic, I cannot describe it! I need more!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2022Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI truly enjoyed the book. The machinations a politis are hard to follow and a little disjointed at times. Other than that, I love the story-arc, (most) of the world-building, and the main protagonists and immediate offshoots are fantastic. This is a fantastic example of how I hope our society will one day become more inclusive. For that alone, 4 stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2022Format: KindleTuri, Mercy, Rio and Philip along with Taz, Ulla and Harlow are back with more adventure in saving their world in the Will Of Dragons. As with the first book, this is also engrossing and stomach clenching and scary.
