What a HEARTWARMING, BEAUTIFUL Book. The only way for me to travel is through the Books I read. JAX STUART took me to GREECE!! Josh has planned a REMARKABLE trip to Greece with his friends. So many things go wrong BUT so many things are life changing. Lysandre is a successful bar owner in Crete. Meeting Josh was the BEST day of his life. This is a MAGNIFICENT Book. Thank You Jax Stuart for taking me on this journey. The Epilogue alone was brilliant!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE MULTI AUTHOR LOVE ABROAD ADVENTURE!!!!!

This is such a sweet story. I really enjoyed following along as Joshua found real love with Sander even though he was still unfortunately dealing with his ex. It was nice getting to their HEA.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

I loved this story!! I have to admit crazy-ex-drama is like cat nip for me! Throw in a MC who, after getting dumped ends up with an upgrade.... gold. Seriously, it might be popular in stories, but I will never get enough.

I really liked this book, which is a story about two hurting individuals finding love in an unexpected way. Joshua is taking a big European vacation between school and starting a job, and it was supposed to be a romantic trip with his long term boyfriend. He is struggling, because they broke up but are traveling together. Sander is post divorce, and his dad has died, and he’s not sure which way to go. And then a chance meeting turns to more, and there is a sweet journey to their HEA, which was poetic and well done.

Joshua was actually very real-feeling to me. He was hurt, struggling, frustrated, sad, lonely amongst friends, yearning, and hopeful...all of his feelings were on the page and I believed them. What he found with Lysander was definitely story/movie magic that I play out in my head for myself but could never believe would happen to me. Lysander was a steady presence and I liked his honesty with both himself and Joshua. They really were a good match.

What detracted was the repeating drama with Lysander's ex. Ryan was a bit predictable so that was kind of expected, as was his fling-turned fiance-turned scorned lover... The unnecessary road blocks were manufactured angst that didn't really belong. There were other things that could have played that role just fine that were far more organic. But what really didn't belong at all was Ryan's ridiculously petty confrontation at their new job. It was out of left field, did nothing for the characters or the story, gave no kind of closure, and was just purely annoying.

Altogether this was a really cute story that I could see reading again, so long as I skip the cafeteria scece. Well, maybe just parts of it, because the players really showed their true colors and they were bright and beautiful. Overall it was a truly nice way to pass an hour or two.

What kind of guy cheats on you. You dump him. Finally getting over him and then he and his princess both decide to come on the vacation he knows you have waited a lifetime for. What a Butt. I was so sad for Joshua that he had to keep putting up with Ryan still flirting with him. But the icing was the proposal. BUT Thank God really because if not he would not have walked into a bar, met the most wonderful man Lysander and spent his whole vacation with him. I love the love story that develops between Lysander and Joshua and the missiles that keep getting thrown in their path - Exes that supposedly want them back.
This is an absolute MUST READ if you want to know the whole story.

Joshua had a multi-month trip to Europe planned with his long term boyfriend Ryan, but a week before leaving, Ryan broke up with him, and to make matters worse, Ryan and his new boyfriend were going along. The trip wasn’t as exciting or enjoyable as originally planned, but Joshua made the best of it with other friends and got to see many of the places he had hoped to. The final leg was Crete, the one place Joshua really wanted to see because of a connection with his deceased mother. Things are going ok until an unexpected event occurs which sends Josh running from his friends, and he finds himself in a bar drowning his sorrows.
Lysander, or Sander as he is called, owns the bar, sees the upset young man, and makes it his mission to try to cheer him up, or at least get his mind on other things. Joshua drinks quite a bit, is too drunk to get back to his hotel, so Sander takes him to his nearby apartment and puts him to bed.

There is an instant attraction between the two, even though Sander is several years older, and Sander offers to act as a tour guide to spend more time with Joshua, if Josh will help in the bar in the evenings. The two spend most of their time together, trying to ignore the elephant in the room — what happens when Josh has to leave? Is a long distance romance a possibility or is it just a holiday fling? How strong are the feelings, are they strong enough to want more? Both men need to face these questions and decide for themselves, is it strong enough to last?

I found both MC interesting and endearing. Sander was so compassionate and caring with Josh, supporting him with his ex, Ryan, and his new boyfriend, making sure Josh felt special, and Joshua found himself falling hard for this man who was so sexy, intuitive to his needs, and so understanding, taking his mind totally off Ryan and his obnoxious boyfriend, and being there for him when he was really needed. I’ve always wanted to visit Greece and Crete, and this book and descriptions gave ma small taste. Not a long read but an interesting and enjoyable one. 4.5 stars from me.

This was quite a delightful read, more so because I've been to Greece, many years ago mind you, but its a wonderful place to see. (Mind you, the drivers are insane!) Joshua and his friends are touring, but tagging alone is someone not quite so welcome, Joshua needs an escape and there's a gorgeous barman more than willing to oblige. A sweet connection is made and lives change. A very enjoyable tale that gave me touching memories of long ago.
