Felix is a miserable incubus, but he does his best to hide his misery. For the most part. Adopted and rejected by strict Catholics, Felix is ashamed of his body’s needs. Work isn’t much better. After Truth or Dare on Halloween loosens their lips in more ways than one, Felix pumps the brakes and challenges them both to a bet. No release for a month, or the loser moves out. Chris agrees with a counterproposal. Felix has to come to terms with being an incubus, otherwise he loses Chris.

Chris’s life is pretty peachy. His estate planning clients are great… mostly. He sees Felix every day and has the family lake to look forward to every Saturday. But as Felix investigates being an incubus, a few things of his own mer nature come to light, changing his perspective on his family.

Fantastic Debut!
I had the honor of alpha reading for Morgan as they wrote this. It's such a sweet story! Simultaneously fluffy and angsty at once. Chris and Felix are obviously meant for each other, even if everyone knows it but them. I loved the side characters too, especially the incubus Rain who was so much fun. And hold on to your panties 'cause this is a hot one. 10 flames hot! Multiple MM+ scenes and orgies as Felix explores his incubus nature with Chris's full support. Definitely recommend!

    I absolutely loved this one. An incubus who is ashamed of his own nature. That would be an absolutely miserable way to live and I am proud of Felix for figuring himself out. Thank goodness he has such and amazing best friend and lover in Chris. I also adored the side characters, especially Rain, Josh, and Brendan. All of these people make sure to let Felix now how special he really is. There is nothing shameful or wrong with embracing your true self! I hope the author writes more of these stories because their world has so much potential. Again I just can’t say enough good about this one. All the stars!!! Very rereadable. Definitely worth it!

    This is a good story of basically exploring your true self and falling in love with your best friend. Both Chris and Felix have kept from being true to who they really are. Following them through this story as they change that and their status with each other made for very interesting reading.

    This is my first book by this author, I’ll definitely be checking to see if they have any other books! I loved Chris and Felix. I love stories with incubi and Felix was a beautifully despicable, touch starved, ashamed incubus. I loved this story so much. Heat: 8/10, hot but with the story and character development to back it up! Highly recommend!

    This was a good book. Felix’s circumstances are definitely sad. But Chris is such a supportive man, even to the extreme he did. And I enjoyed the guys they meet after Avery butts in. I kind of wanted more emotional response from the family and Felix over Chris’s issue, it felt glossed over, but I also understand not wanting to dwell on it and keep things more sweet. The wings thing was hilarious.

    If you like mermen, incubi, friends to lovers, and high steam with sharing, definitely check this book out.

    Felix, an incubus, and Chris, a merman, are best friends and also work together at a law firm. But Felix wasn't raised in a good household and doesn't understand his incubus nature, so he's been afraid to act on anything for his whole life. As a result, he's very touch starved, not taking care of himself, and is too afraid to tell his best friend that he loves him.

    Overall, this was very sweet and also steamy. Once Felix taps into his incubus nature, he has so much he wants to explore. I love how supportive Chris is of his needs and wants, and once they finally start admitting things to the other, I think their overall communication was great for making their relationship solid.

    Felix and Chris are best friends and have been so since they met as kids. They are inseparable, roommates and both are partners in the same law firm. Yes exactly, they pretty much lived in each other’s pockets. They have the same friends, interests, etc. You get the picture!

    While it had been known that Felix was gay from an early age, Chris kept it quiet for years that he was Bisexual. However, he made the revelation playing truth or dare (Yes adults play it too) almost at the very beginning of the book. It was a total surprise to Felix and the other close friends gathered, he was believed to be straight.

    Now, I don’t want to give too many spoilers, but as you can imagine, this would change things for two guys basically pining for each other, right? Well yes, but it’s not all that easy. We are talking about a Merman and an Incubus here! Felix had baggage he had to overcome, Chris had to deal with his own issues, not to mention that silly bet (silly because they really were just denying themselves, putting off the inevitable). And of-course, neither wanting to back down, although they were both regretting it. They just couldn’t keep their hands off each other.

    This is definitely an HEA between two people who loved each other more than anyone or anything else in their lives. However, It was certainly different, in that multiple partners (which I will call extras) were necessary, especially for Felix. Chris was super supportive and stood by his man 100%. No cheating involved (by my definition) as it was discussed and agreed upon prior. Remember, we are talking about an Incubus here! One who had yet to come into his full potential. Use your imagination! Definitely Entertaining!

    This was a really fun exploration of what happens when an incubus has trauma around shame and sex in his past—and it is also FILTHY (which in this case is perfectly apt)! I loved that the two MCs get to explore sex outside of their relationship without it being shameful. It's really heartwarming to see two characters who are so secure in their love for one another. Looking forward to the next book in the series!!

There were some really nice touches to the story (no spoilers!). Looking forward to the next in the series.
