    This was an ok read. Very little typos, if any, stick out to me. I liked the pacing and the overall story. However, two things kind of bothered me.

    First, I felt like there was a lot of telling and not so much showing. It's all fine and well to say someone is your fated mate and perfect for you but you can't say you like the everything about someone who you know nothing about. There were quite a few instances of "we talked about..." "they talked about..." "we'll talk about...later". We don't really get to see why they fall in love, but we get told about it.

    Second, Danny as a secondary character almost overtook everything. I feel like he was in almost every chapter and was constantly explaining Milo and Everett to each other. I feel like if he wasn't pushing them or leading them, they could have got there on their own without him. Whether this was to set him up as a main character in his upcoming book or not, he sort of stole the show.

    I will at least still check out the next book in this series.

    This is a really good start to a new series, and I'm definitely going to pick up the next one whenever it comes out. Although based on the little bit from this book that we saw of the next alpha MC, he's got a lot of redemption to do. I'm all for a good redemption arc but dang. No spoilers, but let's just say he needs to make better decisions. As for these two, they were sweet. I would have liked to see a bit more of the family interactions but overall I really enjoyed all the characters and it set it up nicely for everyone to get their own book and hea eventually. I also hope that in the next books, the antagonists in this one get their dose of karma that's coming to them.

    Milo is a human omega who is being hunted by a crazy wolf shifter. Everett rescues him and realizes they are fated mates. Aside from the wolf who is chasing Milo, their relationship is complicated by the fact that Milo doesn't know shifters exist. Everett has a big challenge to get to know Milo and work things out.

    They make a sweet couple. Everett is fiercely protective and constantly supports Milo and boosts his confidence. Milo loves being a part of Everett's family. This story has plenty of action plus romance.

I love the characters. I love the whole bear family. This book is full of action and a confused human and very possessive alpha bear with a wonderfully sweet Mama Bear. The ending was great. I really look forward to the next book in the series. I'm so glad the next book is about Danny. I can't wait to read it. I hope it comes out very soon, before the end of the year.     This is book one of A.J. Cane’s Grizzly Ridge series and I really like the area that Cane has come up with to set these novels in. The central characters are a great couple and I enjoyed reading their story, but honestly so many of the side characters are terrific as well and I really want more about them too especially Everett’s family. I LOVE his parents! This book had just the right amount of story, angst, adventure, love, heat, etc for me.
