Grant Turner can taste the start of the new season as his LA Fame light the lamp and win their final pre-season game. He has the best intentions of getting to bed early and making the most of that night’s hotel stay, but he can’t help but notice that the cute ginger equipment manager, Tyson, is sitting all alone at the hotel bar.

Now that Jackson Harper is in Minnesota, Grant is the only gay player on the Fame, even if he’s still closeted. They come out to each other while mourning Jackson’s departure, and Grant decides that even though it’s a terrible idea, the two of them could have some fun together that night.

The friendly acquaintance they had while being professional in the locker room blossoms into a genuine camaraderie as they get to know each other better. Grant is looking forward to having some semblance of community, and it’s just a bonus that said community is very cute.
