Falling in love with your captor is definitely a bad idea, right? I couldn’t put this down. From Damon being the most annoying brat, to Saint’s quiet confession that he can’t get off without kissing 🥺, them both st@lking each other, breaking into each other’s homes, being absolute men obsessed and not realising this thing between them had stopped being purely physical - I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! 💥 I loved that Saint’s “recon” came into play in the bedroom so not only did he know what Damon’s preferences were but he did his homework and he delivered! I also loved that Damon gave as good as he got so he showed up in the most provocative outfits knowing the effect they would have. The dynamic between these two is electric ⚡️ I nearly died when Damon said “Shhh, you’re going to need this.” 🥵 If you love dark, spicy MM romance, you’re going to love this. Thanks to Jesse H. Reign for the ARC - all opinions are my own.

    About my title, that's what Damon asked Saint, Damon's kidnapper, to prepare for breakfast - absolutely outrageous. And Saint did prepare an egg white omlet with parley and chives. That's when I knew there would be an abundance of humor in the book

    If you are looking for a story with steamy scenes than plot. This is a great read. The plot is surface level. This isn’t a kidnapping/intrigue plot. It is a romance with a kidnapping section. I really liked the characters. Saint and Demon have a crazy chemistry and the banter is good. They start with intense physical attraction. I didn’t quite get the jump to “all in with him” because they don’t do anything together other than have sex and argue. I enjoyed the final chapters has they build up to their conclusion.

    I couldn't put this book down. It's so good. Normally, this level of spice would be too much for me, but I found myself pouring over every page. I'll just call them Demon and Saint here, but they're so hot together. I love how possessive they each are. I'm so impressed that this author was able to write this kind of chemistry. It's off the charts, and I can't get enough of it. I love this book so much.
    I received a copy of Sainted by Jesse H Reign for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I haven't read any other books by this author but I will definitely be checking them out after this. ❤️

    I have yet to read anything by this author that does not surprise and delight me. She has this way of writing her characters that hooks you so quickly into the story and their world. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this one, given the description, but it is definitely a romance through and through. Loved Saint and Demon, their growth- the moral ambiguity they could both show while also being capable of so much love for each other and other people in their lives- gave the story depth and beauty. The way the author takes a character who is emotionally closed off, prickly, snarky, sure that love is something for fools, and crumbles their walls enough to invite/seek/want love, happiness, joy, and trust with another person is so fun to experience. Really, really enjoying everything she writes!

    I lost sleep over this book. In the best way possible. In the sense that I started it at 2:00 o’clock in the morning and didn’t stop until I finished it. Who needs sleep when you have this magnificent paragon of enemies-to-lovers?

    God this book was good. Ridiculously good. I loved everything about it. The first sentence. The first chapter. The first time Demon (really Damon) and A [I got in trouble for writing his name out last time] (though his name changes over the course of the novel) give into their baser instincts. (A is Demon’s kidnapper. Demon does everything in his power to annoy A. Hate and frustration turn to lust). The first time they realize they crave one another. The first time they see each other after the events of the kidnapping. The first time they mutually stalk one another. The first time Damon learns A’s real name. The first time they become something more, out of the dark and into the light. The first time they admit their “gross” feelings for one another. It’s not gross. Not even a little bit. It’s actually a little swoon worthy. It was glorious. The thing I loved the most though is that they remain flawed throughout the story. They accept one another as they are and the only thing that changes is their feelings for one another and what they want from each other.

    Jesse does a fantastic job with pacing and a character driven plot. The dual POV gives important insight into the shifts that occur in both MCs thoughts and emotions as their entanglement continues. Lacey is a lovely addition to the cast of characters.

    There’s plenty of tension in this book. Mentally, emotion, sexually. You can feel the magnetic pull Demon and A have for one another. I love the moments of vulnerability they share with one another, especially since it doesn’t come naturally to either of them. I definitely have a book hangover and I definitely am not complaining about it. Go read this book.

    I so dislike that I can't give half stars. This book is more than a 3* but not quite a 4*. The main characters are both full of quirks, idiosyncrasies and venom. They express these in ways that couldn't be more different. What do you get when a kidnapping murderer and a vain spoiled rich kid are forced together? Drama, death and dark humor. The kidnapper, Saint is anything but a saint. Damon, the brat is a self involved, egotistical, sarcastic demon. This tale of how they come together is interesting. However it does have the familiarity of the forced proximity genre. There are no real surprises but it's an enjoyable read nevertheless.

    The writing was excellent. The transition from hate to love was so seamless that I was completely on board. I ended up falling in love with two “unlikeable” characters. Though the premise is dark, it’s not a dark read. I was smiling through most of it. The author writes with a depth of emotion that I really appreciate, and all five senses are engaged. Nice and spicy too. I wish I could read this book for the first time again!

Saint, der heiße "Bösewicht", der eigentlich ein liebenswerter Romantiker ist 😍 und Damon, der es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat Saint das Leben zu erschweren 🤣! Die beiden zusammen sind einfach perfekt und mein absolutes Traumpaar 🥰!! Ich werde das Buch auf JEDEN FALL noch öfter lesen!!
