I just loved how Houstoun writes about how the short stories became what they are. The stories, following each other like episodes, are deep and touching. What I really like in this book is how the work and the story behind each one is explained. God knows how much work 100 word stories require. However, Houstoun writes about how he developed and had to modify them, which gives important guidelines in making any kind of short story powerful. I will use these guidelines in my future work as well, as I like adding pinch of short stories scattered in my books.
