4.2 out of 5 stars 57 ratings

Whoever tore them apart is dead…

Baaz Hamdi is a criminal, but he will do anything for his wife, Rahmah. So, when a setup lands Baaz in jail, his top priority is freedom, so he can have Rahmah back in his arms and in his bed. But to protect himself and his wife, Baaz can't tell anyone where he is, not even Rahmah. Too many people could use his family against him. All he can do is wait and dream of his wife.

Abandoned with no money and an inconsolable baby, Rahmah grieves over Baaz's disappearance. All seems lost until she meets a handsome stranger who helps her sort out her life. Despite her love for her husband, Rahmah is alone and desperate. Without a clue whether Baaz is alive, dead, or simply gone, Rahmah decides to end her marriage and rebuild her life.

But Baaz is hell-bent on returning to his rightful place in Rahmah's bed and her life.

Packed with moral ambiguity and intrigue, Trapped in Sin will get your heart racing.

5 stars for this romance between a virtuous muslim woman and a crime underboss who craves a normal, boring family life.

I could identify with Rahmah's difficulty finding a supportive community after moving to a new town. Her struggles to get assistance at a new masjid were humiliating. I was so happy when she could make new friends and build a support system for herself at the end.

I hope there will be additional books about the supporting characters introduced in this book. I would like to read stories about Nader, Vir and Danny.

Secrecy is the beginning disaster of more than one’s fair share of burdens that will be too much to sustain…

Protecting one’s family is one thing but willingly keeping a part of you will provide room for insecurities to float…

Non-communication allows unsuspecting individuals room for mistrust…

I voluntarily chose to read this ARC because I read another book by this author that I enjoyed.

Baaz and his wife Rahmah are in a difficult situation. He doesn't let her know the full range of circumstances so she makes a decision that will impact their life together and sets off a chain of events that keeps you reading to find out how it's all resolved.

The book held my attention and introduced some side characters that I would love to understand more about.

I wasn't fond of the general attitude that "this is what it is and it can't change" that seemed to exist. If you want to change, at least try, not just give up before giving any effort.

I wasn't sure if this book was for me, but I enjoyed this read. I'm not really a fan of romance and religious mix. This book didn't overwhelm the story with overly religious rhetoric and made the characters relatable in their faith for readers who are not familiar with it. It touched on real life problems and real life solutions. And for those women who love bad boys, it hit all the right notes. The female characters weren't stupid and weak. I liked this book and recommend this read. I will probably read the next book in the series.

Baaz and Rahmah showed how love can conquer the disapproval of family, the hypocrisy of their religious community and the greed of a enemy posing as a friend.
This author is fast becoming one my favorites. I highly recommend this book.

Baaz and Rhamah’s story is very compelling. He was on the wrong side of the law and when was taken away, it left Rahmah on her own to take care of their child. He is a devote Muslim and is a testament to their love that endured all through out. This intriguing story is well written and gives a realistic insight into the Muslim culture when it comes to women. In addition it looks at life dealing with religion differences and how it can effect a relationship when two religions come into play not to mention the day to day struggle of gang wars and crime that plagues off of them. I am volunteering to leave a review of for an Arc of this book.
