Edward's Bunny (Satchel Pride Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 230 ratings

Fate is a cruel mistress – especially when it comes to fated mates.

When lion shifter and leader of his pride Edward learns about his fated mate, his life turns upside down. After losing the love of his life, his wife, he vows to never love again. but he does remarry, to give his infant son a mother. Too bad his new wife—now his ex-wife—was a raging psychopath.

But when he meets Brian, a bunny shifter who’s nearly forty years younger, he’s sure there’s no way they can make things work… right?

Brian knows things are a bit rocky with his current boyfriend, but there’s no way he’d tell the lion shifter who happens to be his fated mate. Instead, he uses his current relationship status—taken—as a reason to run from the lion. He’s not interested in predators.

But Fate won’t be denied, and the pair are going to have to get over themselves, past their prejudices, and break the stereotypes forced on them if they’re ever going to find happiness.

Full content visible, double tap to read brief content.

You wouldn’t know it to look at him, but C.K. has a love for soul mates, true love, and happily ever after. Of course, he can’t let his characters get their happy ending too easily; they have to suffer first. He’s inspired by day-to-day life and loves transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary in his stories.

Life away from the computer is just as vibrant for C.K. He calls a quaint Florida town home, a stone's throw from the place he grew up. When not weaving tales or reading his favorite authors, you can find him by the pool, not the beach (because, let's face it, sharks are scarier than any paranormal creature he writes about).

He shares his life with a large, lively family and two cats who switch from cuddling to clawing in the blink of an eye. In C.K.'s world, the ordinary meets the extraordinary - both on and off the pages. You can find more info about his work at his website.

I am giving this one a 5/5. This story is good and keep me invested all the way to the end. The is the story of Edward, the CEO billionaire/king of the lion pride and Brian, a rabbit shifter. A bunny and a lion as mates. Brian has his reservations about it as does most of his family. Edward’s pride hates that Brian is a male. The two men have to deal with racism from all sides. True love conquers all or does it.

I enjoyed this second book of the series even more than book one. I enjoy a good fated mates story but I enjoy it even more when a mate doesn't just accept fates decision immediately. Then we get wooing and courting along with the extra drama as we do in this one. I'm looking forward to book 3.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

This was a great book. I did enjoy it. I do recommend reading them in order but I didn't and still feel like I understood what was going on. Over all it was a good story. I did like the fact that while they were fated mates it wasn't a immediate bond. Which was nice. I did hate Randy. But I honestly feel like we will see more of him. Over all I wouldn't change anything. The action was nice. The growing of people was nice. It nice to see people grow. And I love prey and predator being together.

I love this universe the author created. Although I enjoyed Edward and Brian’s journey, I don’t think Book 2 had quite the warmth of Book 1. That being said, I’m hoping, and looking forward, to a Book 3!

I like age gap stories just fine but this was a bit of stretch for at 40years and then reading that Brian is only 19 to Edward’s 59. To me that is too far apart and I didn’t really find that sexy. If you overlook the vast age difference, I really did enjoy the story. One big plot point I fear was missed was what Brian’s Nana had to say about fated mates that could only be told to bonded pairs. We never got what it was or why it was so important she told Hayden and Owen. I was disappointed with that. Despite those two major issues, I still gave a 3* because it was a sweet story and it kept my interest and I enjoyed seeing how sassy Brian found his love.

I enjoyed reading about Edward and Bryon. This story had a interesting plot and love the character building. Only issue is with the editing. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is a light love story of fated mates, with a little bit of angst thrown in. I enjoyed Edward & Brian's story but it needs another edit.

I really like this series and how the concept of mates is so new to the shifters involved even though it’s something that’s been around for a long time. I love that Edward was so willing to own up to past mistakes and put in the hard work of actually turning things around. I will admit, Brian frustrated me initially because he seemed to be bound and determined to ignore reality and move on. However, I can also understand some of his reticence and I’m glad that he was also very willing to acknowledge that a lot of his views regarding predators were prejudice based. He really did work to move past that mindset having realised just how bigoted it was. The love story was sweet and slow which I think worked really well especially for these two who had a lot going on in their pasts and presents. I’m really looking forward to what comes next and I really want Mike to find his mate - he seems so lost and lonely and I want him to find his happiness (and his dad, Walter is awesome and deserve a fantastic mate).

There are so many things to like about this - I was really looking forward to reading it as I enjoyed the first one - it’s shifters, it’s age gap, it’s size difference (well between shifted forms). I did enjoy it, it was an easy, happy read, but it did feel quite rushed in places, I could have definitely read more - especially in their build up of their relationship, it was very quick overall.

If you want a super easy, quick shifter read with a HEA then this is worth picking up.

As with the others, the book has a good story which is let down by the spelling and grammar errors.
    Please get a decent proofreader.
