But Angie's involvement worries Ryan and his past trust issues with women stand in the way of him truly trusting Angie and admitting that he loves her. Angie is a lovely caring heroine with a good dose of common sense and Ryan is my favorite type of hero, intelligent, yet able to handle himself in a fight. From the Author

"I always enjoy mixing in humor with my mystery and romances, as I feel it gives the reader a chance to get a breath before more dastardly deeds are done. I think this is the reason for the popularity of TV shows like NCIS and White Collar, which both have the element of humor."

All series books stand alone, being only loosely linked.

A USA TODAY best-selling author, Nancy Radke grew up on a wheat and cattle ranch in SE Washington State. She attended a one-room country school through the eighth grade. She learned to ride bareback at age 3 (Really! It was a common practice.) and when she got off or fell off, she would pull her horse's nose to the ground, get on behind its ears, and the horse would lift its head so she could scoot down onto its back. Most of her childhood was spent exploring the Blue Mountain trails that bordered the ranch lands. She and a friend once took a trail that turned out to be a two day trip. They always rode with matches and pocket knives, so made camp and returned the next day. These long rides worried her parents, but provided plenty of time to make up stories. Her first novel was set in the Blues, and is entitled APPALOOSA BLUES. TURNAGAIN LOVE was the first one published. It rated a four star review from Affaire de Coeur. Scribes World said "Turnagain Love has some fascinating twists and turns, unexpected complications, and charming scenes." It is light and humorous.

Her next book was CLOSED DOORS, a novel about a man who couldn't read. This was especially interesting to Ms. Radke, as she taught remedial reading, sixth grade, and other classes. All her stories stand alone, but are linked by characters who know each other from book to book. For example, Zack and Jennel show up in two more books besides TURNAGAIN LOVE. Also her books have a theme, such as the theme for TENNESSEE TOUCH, which is that just being alive is dangerous, so you can't be so cautious that you miss out on life. Her favorite character is Hugo, who is the hero in SCORPION'S TRAIL. Hugo shows up in SPIRIT OF A CHAMPION and in the first book of the new BROTHERS OF SPIRIT series that she is writing with her son, Nolan Radke, entitled HEIGHT OF DANGER.

She has gone through survival and outward bound training, including long-distance ocean swimming. Facts from this training shows up in COURAGE DARES and SPIRIT OF A CHAMPION. Her western ranching background shows up in the pioneer series, The Traherns, and APPALOOSA BLUES. Her critique group used to say that she talked and wrote backward. This really helped when writing the Traherns, as the dialect seemed very natural. APPALOOSA BLUES, an AMAZON TOP 100 BEST SELLER, is the book that links the Trahern series with the Sisters of Spirit Series.

Ranch life gives a person a can-do attitude, so when she decided to write and produce a children's Bible on DVD, she never doubted she could do it. Never mind that she had to learn to use a Mac, Photoshop, and the Final Cut Studio programs. The first volume of the SHOW AND TELL BIBLE took eight years to complete. It is two hours long, contains 650 hand-drawn pictures, and gives the impression of a picture book being read by a well-loved parent or grandparent. Little children are absolutely enthralled by it. The second volume is three hours long, 850 pictures, concluding with Esther. It was finished in three years, so she really did manage to speed up. Vol. 3, now on sale, finishes the Old Testament, from Job through Malachi, with two hours. The book of Acts is currently in production. (2023)

The feedback from parents and kids has been tremendous. Nancy is working on the fourth volume now, which will start the New Testament. When the entire Bible is finished, she plans to do other children's books on DVD. And for her romance fans, there are more of those coming. For people who love cookbooks, those on Amazon are written by a different lady with the same name.

Always interested in helping people learn to read, Nancy started Raising Giants, a home school program that offers a FREE reading program. Designed to teach children at age 4 (or earlier), it can also be used by anyone having trouble learning to read. This program can be found at www.raisingupgiants.wixsite.com/free

This book is many things all rolled into one. It is a mystery, a romance, a crime story and more. It is well written and flows smoothly. The characters are clearly put forth, well defined and you can relate to them, even the bad guys. This book is one you will be gripped right from the start and won't be able to stop reading.

Angie is in the middle of a crime where some tried to steal some CD's with valuable company information. Ryan is the head of a computer security company and it is his CD's that were stolen. Angie is hired by Ryan to work with him as his assistant and try to find out who stole the CD's. Just off of a rocky romance which ended because of mistrust, Ryan keeps trying to shake the fact that Angie might be involved in it. ever hear of love at first sight? Well both Ryan and Angie seem to have been bitten.

This is a great story. For those who hate sex scenes or cuss words, relax. there are none. For those who like romance mixed with fast paced action, you have come to the right place.

I do rcommend this book for ages 16 on up. You will surely enjoy it.

I've learned more about computer hacking and it's issues by reading this. The book is based in one of my favorite areas of the country, Seattle, and brought back a lot of memores of the time I lived in the pacific northwest. Loved the concept of living on a houseboat. Good family values and respectful teens. A romance, without the sexual overtones. All-in-all, a good read.

I found Stolen Secrets an interesting story with a modern setting. It was a little like a stock Harlequin romance, but I liked the plot line which dealt with computer hacking. Not what I thought would make a good romance novel, but it worked. I didn't get put off by what one reviewer called political comments. I thought the explanation of how and why computer hackers worked was believable, and no explanations were "jammed" down my throat. I also found it interesting that malicious computer hackers are called crackers. I know there are many companies whose business it is to stop the crackers before they cripple a company, and this was the hero Ryan's job. The heroine Angie was feisty, warm, and caring. I wanted them to fall in love and live happily ever after. Of course, first they had to solve the mystery of the cracker of an oil company in Alaska. I enjoyed the scenes set in Seattle and Anchorage as the mystery and romance unfold. And a cute little pound puppy kind of stole the show! I recommend this book for a quick, satisfying read.

I enjoyed the romance and suspense in this story, the characters were likable, and although I had my suspicions about some of the people I still didn't know how it would all turn out until it happened. The major flaw I note is that the author could not resist throwing in a biased political lecture -- it wasn't necessary and did not do a thing for the story except to irritate me.

There was one other minor flaw, don't know whether it was the author or the editing, but someone seems to be of the mistaken opinion that "I'd have (done or thought something)" translates to "I had have" instead of "I would have." I would have dismissed it as a typo if it had happened once, but I saw two instances of the same error.

Great story with the perfect amount of suspense. I don't like a ton, but this was just right. The story was well written. It left me wanting to read the rest of the series. Unfortunately, the combination that I bought containing all the books was published in such a way that is is quite difficult to read on my Kindle. Luckily, I got this book independently and it is wonderful. If in doubt, give this story a chance. It is worth it.
