SNOW BLIND Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 1,287 ratings

The storm sweeps in like a thief in the night...
Winter storm Holly is the worst in eighty years bringing high winds, subzero temperatures and snowfall better measured in feet than in inches. The weather paralyzes everything in its path, but, in this storm, weather isn't the only threat.

It started out as a simple recon mission – then the worst happened. Recon evolved into an imminent threat and Rapid Response Alliance operatives, Cara Graves and Josh Haskins find themselves with less than 48 hours to circumvent a nuclear disaster. Fighting against the clock and the worst blizzard to hit the Midwest in almost a century, Cara and Josh risk everything – including their feelings for each other – to stop what the terrorists hope will be Armageddon.

Snow Blind is the final book in the Storm Watch series and Cindy Gerard did an amazing job. The thrills in this book start on page one and don’t stop cara Graves and Josh Haskins are fighting their feelings for each other as well as Winter Storm Holly while they check out chatter that a nuclear power plant may be under terrorist attach. If they can’t stop the attack millions will die from the radioactive particles released after the bomb hits the reactor. Scary read. Did you ever think that this could really happen? Scary huh? Thank you Cindy Gerard.

Snow Blind is the last entry in the Stormwatch series. It did not disappoint. Agents Cara Graves and Josh Haskins are members of a Rapid Response team and are called to investigate suspicious chatter about a nuclear power plant in Palo, Iowa. What seems like a simple recon investigation turns out to be a terrorist attack on the power plant. The devastation from a nuclear incident could affect much of the Midwest and the Mississippi Basin. In the face of this death threat, Cara and Josh are forced to acknowledge the attraction they have for each other. With blizzard Holly complicating their operation to stop the terrorists, their future together is in serious jeopardy. This was a page turner and a thriller.

Does the world end up in nuclear winter in the midst of a record-breaking blizzard?

You’ll have to read this final installment of the Stormwatch series to find out.

The fun thing about this series is that each of the six books is written by a different author and was released on six consecutive Thursdays. To make things even more interesting, each book is centered around Winter Storm Holly.

I enjoyed reading SNOW BLIND because it kept the tension going, but also made me chuckle and appreciate the characters. They were focused on their work, but also had issues to overcome with the investigation and their growing attraction to each other. I didn’t want to put it down. Thank you, Cindy Gerard!

What a fantastic finish to this amazing series! As winter storm Holly crashes into Cedar Rapids Iowa, Cara and Josh find themselves thrown into a situation that they were not expecting. As they battle the storm they must stop a terrorist attack on a nuclear power plant. Time is ticking as the storm rages around them and they must work together to get the job done.
A riveting read and the perfect conclusion to this action-packed series.
Although each book can be read as a stand-alone, Winter Storm Holly weaves itself through all six books as a strong character as well as a terrific backdrop for these edge of the seat novels.

This last book in the Stormwatch Series started off a little slow in my opinion. I wasn’t sure I was going to stick with it because it began like a corny romance story. I’m glad I did stick with it though because by chapter 5, things started to get interesting. Cindy Gerard finished off the series with an undercover recon story that turned into the main characters, Cara and Josh, thwarting a terrorist cell. Yes, there is some romance too, but thankfully once the story got going, it was saved until the end. I’m glad I read this series, as each author brought a different style and story, and it gave me an introduction into their work. My favorite book in the series is still Snow Brides, but I’ve enjoyed reading them all.

This was the weakest link by far. Poorly developed plot. No character development just poorly written overall. The series might have gotten a 3 before this one. Not a chance now
