Falling for The Suitor: A sweet and swoony reality show romance (Suitor Science Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 183 ratings

Twenty-six women. One leading man. A love story with a reality TV twist.

"I devoured this book in one sitting—pure, irresistible fun!"

Getting dumped on national television isn’t exactly a confidence booster—but it
is great for your social media following.

Now, after my not-so-successful first shot at love on reality TV, I’m invited back for another round.

This time, I’m not just a contestant.
I’m The Suitor.

Twenty-six stunning women are vying for my heart, and I have twelve weeks to find my happily ever after. It should be simple. Play the part. Follow the script. Keep the audience entertained.

And then I meet Bexley.

She’s gorgeous, brilliant, and funny, completely unforgettable—even though she totally forgot my name. She’s also the one person I
actually want. But there’s just one problem: my contract says I have to give every woman a fair shot before making my final choice. That means staged dates, on-camera connections, and, yes… kissing other people.

True love is never easy—but on reality TV, it’s downright impossible.

Falling for The Suitor is a swoon-worthy, laugh-out-loud romantic comedy with a STEM heroine, packed with sizzling chemistry, heart-melting moments, and all the reality TV drama you crave. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of dating shows or a total skeptic, you’ll fall head over heels for Grayson and Bexley!

Editorial Reviews

Review

"In a deliciously modern romance premise that is sure to enchant fans of the genre, we find ourselves in the world of reality television with our protagonist Bexley. Told from both her perspective and that of The Suitor, Grayson Grant, will these two figures survive twelve weeks of constant cameras on them and see if love can thrive whilst Bexley competes against twenty-four other women for his heart?

Fans of televised dating shows will certainly enjoy a work like this, where we get a glimpse of life from in front of the cameras. I really enjoyed the way author Holly Kerr explores what it must be like to be in the public focus and know that your every move is being filmed. The way that Grayson has to behave, owing to his contract, certainly causes some really dramatic and fun moments in the plot! Bexley was an unusual protagonist to be thrust into the world of reality TV, and she was so relatable in the way Kerr narrates her and presents her naturalistic and humorous dialogue. For a light, enjoyable, and very sweet modern romance novel, I'd say readers need to look no further than Falling for the Suitor. I'd certainly love to read more in this series." —

Holly Kerr wants everyone to have a happily ever after, full of fun banter and friends to talk about it with.

She writes fast-paced, sweet romantic comedies with the door shut, action chick lit about sassy Canadian super spies, and women’s fiction about families and small towns.

When she's not huddled in her writing cave, Holly likes to rewatch Ted Lasso and all the Marvel movies, attack the weeds in her many gardens, and watch her son and daughters play baseball, which has led to a side gig as a softball coach for the last ten years.

She prefers beach over mountains, won't touch coffee, and likes her martinis dirty, with extra olives.

If you happen to pass by her house in Toronto during happy hour, she'll invite you onto the porch for a glass of wine and a chat about what's in her Little Library.

Bexley and Grayson in a reality show with 24 other women was a page turner. I had to force myself to quit reading to get some sleep. I loved Bexley from the beginning because of the woman she is - a super smart, beautiful woman in a man's world of electricians and working on her electrical engineering degree! The book was great in the way it handled all the women's dynamics as well as family dynamics. I loved the ending and look forward to the next book in the series.

If you are a fan of romcoms and The Bachelor then Falling for The Suitor should be your next read! Told in dual POV through the eyes of Bexley (one of the 25 girls) and Grayson (The Suitor) this story takes you through all of the drama that comes with dating on a reality show. Even with all of the shenanigans and cat fights, this story keeps you hopeful with all of the cute romcom moments. It also helps that Bexley is extremely level headed and just focused on winning, so her character made it really easy to enjoy the story. Grayson bothered me at times though as he went back and forth from acting calm to enjoying all of the drama, but overall he was a good MMC. I really liked this book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun read.

Reality dating shows are a gold mine for drama in a story, but it can be difficult to understand people subjecting themselves to it, so stories with that setting require a careful hand. It’s hard for the main character who is the dating show star (the Suitor, in this case) not to come off as a bit skeezy with all the kissing and touching with different women…not to mention the overnights. Overall, I think the author managed to redeem Grayson as a romantic hero, but there were some moments when I wasn’t so sure I wanted him with Bexley. Ultimately, I enjoyed the book. This story was full of drama, humour, and plenty of cattiness. Not to mention romance. The resolution to the story was great. It’s a fun read. And fun to see it set in Canada. For readers’ information, this is a closed-door romance, as opposed to a sweet and clean story.

I devoured this like I did when I read book 1 in the series and am looking forward to the next one. Bexley is a brave woman because there is no way I could stomach watching my guy date others. Nope. This makes me see those dating shows with a different perspective. So many questions!

I’m not a big fan of reality dating shows because the contestants seem so fake. There is plenty of drama and clash of personalities in this book. I liked Bex who was so unsure from the start and she makes a memorable and funny first meeting with Grayson too. They have a connection, but with so many people talking in their ears, the contestants and production crew it’s hard to know what’s real and what’s an act. I liked the dates where he spent time with his friends and sister the best because they didn’t seem as contrived. There were no detailed sex scenes however there was plenty of moments where he mentioned being aroused, second base with several contestants, and alluding to it happening so I wouldn’t consider it a clean romance.

Very good read! Bexley and Grayson are fun characters. He is The Suitor on the dating show, and Bexley is one of the 25 girls trying to win his heart. We get the dating show drama from her point of view and his, all while they fall in love. This is the first book I read by this author, but now I need to find the other books dealing with Grayson and their friends!

This is a funny romantic comedy story Bexley and Greyson. Along with 20 plus women, Bexley is in competition to win Greyson's heart. All she has to do is make it to the end of the reality show and she will be the winner of the Suitor. Her only problem is falling for the Greyson and hoping to he is falling for her.

If you’re a fan of reality, bachelor and bachelorette type shows, you may be happy to read this book. There were some parts that were sweet and funny, but also some that were slow and drawn out. I also do not like to read “sweet romances” with people sticking their tongues down other people’s throat or being in bed together. I consider this a steamy romance, There was also more swearing than I care to read. This is the second book I’ve read in the series, which can be read as a standalone. The first book I read, I did not care for. I made the decision to read one more from this author, and I will say this book was maybe a half star better.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Bexley’s best friend convinces her to take part on the show Falling For The Suitor. When she meets Grayson, the Suitor, their connection is instant. Grayson is just as taken with Bexley, but unfortunately for them, there are 25 other women competing to win Grayson’s heart. What happens when the other contestants start using underhanded tactics to get ahead? Will Bexley be able to make it to the final round and win her man?
