My latest novel, Hers or Mine, is a psychological suspense about a couple who harbour a dark secret. When that secret rears its head at a retreat for creatives, and it seems that everyone is lying, who can you trust - and who will get out alive?

I have written several books in my Darker Minds Crime and Suspense series, where dark minds are at work and sometimes it takes a darker one to stop them. Each book is a standalone story, linked by this theme. Expect some nasty villains and flawed characters, as well as numerous dark twists.

When I'm not writing you'll usually find me with a cuppa, curled up with a crime book.

    Great characters, plot, and craziness just screams "What the heck?" Two ladies living together and can't figure out their goals or what they want out of life. One is a control freak, the other just wants to enjoy life and not be made to feel dominated. Then Anthony comes into Vicky's world and sweeps her off her feet. A good story, a little twisted, right up my alley! Enjoy it, I did.

    The first thing to say here is that this book is effectively the story of three people – a triangle of sorts, but most certainly not a love one.

    The central character, Vicky, unwisely allows herself to become trapped between two very different people, both of whom appear to be deeply and unhealthily fixated on her. The nature of, and the reasons for, these obsessions are totally dissimilar, but it is partly Vicky’s desire to escape from one situation that, in the end, drives her towards the other, ultimately more perilous, one.

    What I really liked about the book is that you never know which way it is going to turn at any point. The reader is given just enough information to know that both these characters are seriously unhinged, but there is never a clear indication as to what either of them is ultimately capable.

    The whole story is, therefore, quite a delicate balancing act, but the conclusion is as satisfying as it is surprising when it finally arrives.

    Basically, if you like dark, edgy thrillers with fully fleshed-out and believable characters, then I can thoroughly recommend this one.

    Loved this book from voracious readers. The landlady who lost her sister and is desperate to hang on to her housemate and keep her safe. She sees danger at every turn. Is it real or imagined. The girl who just wants to fall in love and enjoy life, and the photographer who is her saviour, or is he? I knew what was coming but was still caught up in the suspense. Very well written. A thoughly enjoyable book.
