THREE SISTERS. WHO WILL SURVIVE?

Time is running out for Chandler, the elite assassin whose mission to rescue her sister from a notorious black ops prison landed her at the top of the nation's Most Wanted list. Burned by her handlers and forced to work with her mortal enemy in a race to preserve the very government that wants her dead, the living weapon has become a ticking time bomb.

In saving her sister, Chandler unleashed a power-mad American president dead set on controlling the world--no matter how many millions of innocent people he must kill to do it. To stop him, Chandler will go deeper than she's ever gone before, pushing her body and mind to their absolute limits. All the while she is hunted by the one man who knows her every secret, her every hiding place--and her every weakness.

Infiltrating the White House, crashing a bullfight in Mexico City, hijacking a blimp in Toronto...these are just the beginning of the end, as the Codename: Chandler trilogy races towards its stunning conclusion.

I happened upon the first volume of the "Codename: Chandler" series, "Flee", and I went on reading "Spree" and "Three". The elements of Plot keep you interested and wondering throughout. These were real "page turners" as they used to say. Needless to say I was disappointed to reach the last book, and now having to wait until the authors complete their run of short prequels.
I was won easily as the "Chandler" series appeal to my quest for books where the main character(s) is a female in the role of the assassin. Needless to say that in these series, you get rewarded three times more. The characters are ruthless and perfect in the use of their own skills and deviances. Not for the faint at heart, but for those that relish these stories, you will get stuck and unable to put them down.
Interesting to note that the characters are depicted by a team of two authors, both genders. They brought some good perspective when depicting characters from the proper gender viewpoint.
This trilogy must have been successful enough for the authors to start the prequel, however, I am longing for a follow up rather than a beginning.

I read all three and could not put them down. Just like with The Jack Daniels serious. I hope there is another because Hammett has the Ebola virus and I know you’re not going to leave me hanging. I binge read like most people binge watch TV shows. I love all the characters but for some reason Harry is my favorite. Harry is twisted but he leaves me laughing and shaking my head.

Fantastic series about three sisters and their abilities to take on the world. Two authors, working in tandem, amazing books.

Halfway in I stopped reading. How on earth did these women survive years of being the best? They seem so incompetent and get worse as it goes. I'm starting to think Stephanie Plum here. (Hero without a clue), everything gets done by dumb luck. While I've enjoyed most of Konrath's books as well as Petersons, the end of Spree was the start of my disappointment with this series.

If I ever go back to finish this book it will be awhile.

The authors have done it again, and in addition they have tied up the trilogy with a neat bow while leaving a few questions hanging for (hopefully) future exploits. Realistic? I hope not. Violent? Most definitely. This is written as entertainment, not a training manual, and I was most definitely entertained. I was mesmerized, waiting to see what the characters were going to pull out of their bag of tricks next.

My same complaint throughout the trilogy: I feel another narrator could have been a better choice. This one has a delivery without much inflection (other than when she voices Hammett, when her voice is silky and mocking and comes alive), which is not what one wants in a thriller. It's like she is reading in a monotone--although she doesn't sound bored--which makes for difficult listening. The reading could have been so much more.

It was a bit difficult/jarring to change character perspectives so often and among so many different characters but I have to admit that it made them more three-dimensional. The resulting depth added to them and to the story makes me feel it was a good choice by the authors and was worth it.

The book had me on the edge of my proverbial seat and I look forward to the continuation of the story lines.

A fantastic finally to the Chandler series, enjoyed the humour in this one especially. Don't usually like a cliff hanger ending but somehow seemed fitting in this case. A brilliant piece of writing, seamless connection to the characters and events the work of an expert, highly recommend you read all three.
