Andrea Matthews is the pseudonym for Inez Foster, a historian and librarian who loves to read and write and search around for her roots, genealogical speaking. She has a BA in History and an MLS in Library Science, and enjoys the research almost as much as she does writing the story. In fact, many of her ideas come to her while doing casual research or digging into her family history. She is the author of the Thunder on the Moor series set on the 16th century Anglo-Scottish Border, and the Cross of Ciaran series, where a fifteen hundred year old Celt finds himself in the twentieth century. Andrea also writes historical mysteries under the pen name I. M. Foster. Her series A South Shore Mystery is set in the early 1900s on Long Island. Andrea is a member of the Long Island Romance Writers, and the Historical Novel Society.

    THE FACT THAT I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A TRILOGY AND I WAS READING THE LAST BOOK GAVE ME SO MUCH ANXIETY WHILE I WAS READING, BUT I AM SO GLAD IT WAS ANNOUNCED THERE WILL BE A 4TH AFTER FULLY READING THIS.

    FIRST THING IS FIRST IS WHEN I SAID THE 2ND WAS EMOTIONAL THAT WAS COMPARING IT AS A BABY COMPARED TO THIS ONE. I ACTUALLY HAD TO PAUSE FOR THE DAY AND CONTINUE AT MIDNIGHT THE NEXT DAY TO FINISH BECAUSE OF ALL THE EMOTIONAL TURMOIL I WAS CARRYING THROUGHOUT THIS BOOK.

    CAN I ALSO SAY HOW I KEPT COMING BACK TO SEE WHEN THIS BOOK WOULD BE RELEASED AND FOUND IT THE DAY BEFORE IT WAS TO BE RELEASED??!?!?!     Now that it is over and ended I feel like I have lost part of my family. They were all so real for me. I hope they come back in the next book. I really enjoyed this book even if there were some terribly sad parts. There were great parts too. Andrea Matthews has a great imagination. This was defiantly a roller coaster ride !

    This is the third book in the series of time traveling, romance, and the love and heartache that makes up a family. Reading the first two books is highly recommended before reading this one.

    The story picks up in the past and the author weaves such a fantastic, realistic view, I feel like I am right there. The most important things of that era are highlighted here -- the love and steadfast dedication of family, the wickedness that can turn some men to do evil things, and the struggle they had just to survive. All of your emotions are brought out within the pages of this book.

    Then we are brought back to modern day. You don't think you can take much more of the roller-coaster, but the ride is not yet over. So much more happens to make you feel both love and make you want to weep. The story and characters are riveting, I felt so much for so many of them.

    If you are a fan of time travel with romance, adventure, and action, this series is for you.

    Lovers Maggie Armstrong and Will Foster have fought border reivers, their own families, and even the dreaded gallows to protect their forbidden love.It seems as though they may finally have there happily ever after until they stumble upon Johnnie Hetheringtons body found brutally murdered close to their home a week before they are to be wed. Will and the rest of his family are ruled out and the wedding proceeds. Only then do the Armstrong’s attack in force determined to bring Maggie back to them whatever the consequences. Fearing for Maggie's life, Will implores Dylan to get her to safety. Even if it means taking her 450 years into the future back to her own time, while leaving his own love Annie in the process. With a degrading amulet and two broken hearts will either of them ever see their true love again?
    This series just keeps getting better, Andrea Matthews has done it again! I really loved the mystery aspect included in this installment. I think it was really cool seeing almost a side by side comparison of the sixteenth and twentieth centuries. It makes you realize how different things were back then and makes you wonder what lengths you would go for your own love. There were so many moments in this book that had me excitedly gasping and nervously biting my nails! The characters are so well written I could feel each one of their emotions like they were my own. I feel the NEED for Maggie and Will to have a happy end! I also felt there was a message of non toxic relationships and getting through traumas with love and support from those you choose to love. Another wonderful read!!! Definitely recommend!

    Shake Loose the Border is the third book in the Thunder On the Moor series. I recommend reading these books in order because it is an ongoing series. This kept me on the edge of my toes, with lots of action and suspense in the story. Set primarily in the sixteenth century, tensions arise as Will and Maggie's wedding approaches. Maggie is sent back to the twentieth century for safety purposes. Will Maggie and Will be reunited?
    As I mentioned, this is packed with action, suspense, and adventure. I couldn't put it down because I wanted to know how it would end. I already had the fourth book so I knew the story would continue but I had to get some resolution. I look forward to reading the fourth book to see how their story continues.
