About the authors
As a child, Erin fell in love with llamas and with the books of Anne McCaffrey, whose Dragonriders of Pern series inspired her to become a writer. When she finally met Anne McCaffrey at a fantasy convention some two decades later, she wept uncontrollably throughout the entire affair. She does significantly better with llamas.
She and co-author Steven Brown are known together as Dragon Authors, writing science fiction and fantasy novels for teens and adults. You can find them at DragonAuthors.com.
Steven spent his childhood reading anything he could get his hands on, sharing his favorite stories with his younger brothers and then acting them out, especially if this required sword fighting on horseback. When they ran out of books, he wrote his own, including his brothers as the main characters by sketching original illustrations on magazine clippings.
He and co-author Erin Michelle Sky are known together as Dragon Authors, writing science fiction and fantasy novels for teens and adults. You can find them at DragonAuthors.com.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2020I don’t know the series yet (this is the first I’ve read in it), but this makes me want to read the rest! It reads a little like mythology, which makes sense since it is the mythological background for another story, but with a more personal touch than mythology usually gets. Good fun in about a five-minute read!

- Reviewed in the United States on January 1, 2019A really fun and imaginative origin story for Peter Pan, weaving in mythos from Scandinavia and other more far away places. Having already read the Wendy it was really nice to learn more about how peter pan came to be in this form. Now I am eagerly awaiting the sequel to the Wendy!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2020Well-written, self-contained story that explains a lot. As always, character development and unexpected plot lines are the name of the game with these authors! Can't wait to read the second book in The Wendy series after reading this one. To be honest, I haven't enjoyed most depictions of TigerLily in the past, but I loved her here! I'm really looking forward to meeting her through Wendy's eyes.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2018Very imaginative, and well written. It's an interesting beginning to the whole series. I'm looking forward to more!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2020Good background, Answers some questions but still have some holes in story and was a little short
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2018The book started as mythological history and came alive for me as it transitioned to Tigerlilja’s voice. I will be reading Wendy!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2019This little nugget of a book is gripping, intense and emotional. I felt so much. Sadness over the protagonist's losses, frustration over the injustices, hope at the end, yearning to feel more, to learn more about the characters.
It ends with a cliffhanger of sorts, but I don't mind. I intend to read every book in the series.
Tigerlilja is a prequel to The Wendy, but I recommend reading it after The Wendy. Of course, knowing the original story of Peter Pan beforehand is mandatory.
Now, I can't wait to read The Navigator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its a quick, short read and so, so worth it.
Tigerlilja is a brand new companion novella to The Wendy. (Have you read it? If not you should, I'll wait ...) And it is fantastic!
Its a quick, short read and so, so worth it.
We are introduced to Tigerlilja as a small child, as her grandmother is telling her the story of how she was chosen for something special. I won't go into too much detail because this is a short book and it would be way too easy to spoil, but lets just sat Tigerlilja is a total badass from a young age.
The story is told in a way that reminds me of an old folk tale, which in a way, I suppose it is. This tale gives you a bit of backstory, as well as taking you on a life changing adventure for our characters.
Seeing Tigerlilja, who is rather pragmatic about things, interact with the childish likes of Peter Pan was just so much fun.
We learn how Peter Pan and Tink met, how Peter came to be who he is (I adore his backstory, definitely my favorite part) how Tigerlilja becomes who she is destined to be (she's awesome!) as well as a few other surprises.
I dare you not to reach for the tissues.
Here's hoping Tigerlilja makes an appearance in book two of The Wendy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not my kind of book
I tried hard to like this boot but the story and the style of writing really wasn't appealing to me.
It is a strange take on the Peter Pan genre & does not work.
