On his twitter page, Marc Nobbs describes himself as "Author of erotic romance, Blogger, Accounts Manager, Husband, Dad. But not in that order."

He started writing as hobby just after leaving university in 1998, and in 2005 his first short story was published by the subscription website Ruthie's Club. Phaze Books published his first novel, Charlotte's Secret, in 2008. Eternally & Evermore, his forth Phaze novel, was published in 2010.

Originally from The Black County, Marc now lives just a stone's throw from where Princess Diana is buried and the Gunpowder Plot was plotted. It's far cry from his inner-city roots, but that's what an education does for you. He studied at the University of Aberystwyth and the University of Swansea.

When he's not writing, blogging, counting other people's money or being a loving husband and father, Marc enjoys the peace and quiet of his allotment garden, where he grows all types of quite magnificent fruit and vegetables.

    This book was not what I expected from the title, it was an awesome read and went where I never expected it to go. I think at some point in our lives we all think we could be that star. Enjoy the read you won't be sorry.

    I really really enjoyed this book !!
    I feel very privileged to have been lucky enough to receive an ARC of this novel to read ahead of release.

    This took me on a journey of not only a few shocks and surprises but of intrigue too.
    As the title suggests lies play a big part in this storyline and wow there's a few woppas revealed!!! The question I found myself wondering throughout reading though was of all the lies continually shocking me, which of the characters had the biggest lie to tell ?

    This author really put some research into developing the plot and obviously did his homework on the entertainment industry, this doesn't read like fiction at all as it's well thought out and structured.

    As mentioned this book contains scenes from an adult entertainment situation which anyone could misconstrue as the whole story is simply sex scene after sex scene , this however is far from the fact because each and every "scene" is there within the storyline as a necessity to the plot. This author has not just opted for writing a steamy story without backing up the scenes with meaning and further development of the novel. This for me is a huge plus as it's not just another erotica author looking to "sell sex" , this contains scenes relevant to the story.

    I give this a full five stars because this has everything and more you'd expect in a good erotica read. From the heat of the sex scenes to the surprising shocks and wonderment of what can possibly happen next? It's all there in the pages of this exciting story.

    After now becoming very familiar with this authors work and having read much of his catalogue of books I can honestly say I've never been disappointed after picking up a Marc Nobbs book.
    If your looking for a hot yet well thought out tantalising read then I definitely recommend The Lies We Lead and I'm very much looking forward to the next in the series.

    I have never read a Marc Nobbs book before, but it won't be the last. Reading the synopsis you will be forgiven for thinking that this is a typical smut book, but it is so much more. Yes it is erotica, but it is very well thought out and written extremely well. I would think a lot of research would have gone into this book for the subject that it involves. There are lots of lies, some massive surprises and some very hot sex scene's in this book that will make you squirm in the nicest possible way !!! A little unrealistic to be honest, but then that is what a book is all about, delve in and lose yourself. It didn't phase me one bit and I still enjoyed it. A forbidden fruit always taste the sweetest ?? Yep it certainly does after reading this book !!
