    Again, we get a good look into Chinese culture as we follow Jiayi and Zhihao on their next adventure. For those who enjoy reading historical fiction with lots of adventure and mystery, this series would be a good option for you. We end Jiayi and ZhiHao's story with this book. I have to say that this one was the most exciting out of the 4 books. There's just a lot going on (murder, jealousy, romance). We do get to see more romance in this book and more players form.

    I did receive a free ARC copy of this book, but this is my honest review.

    I read and loved the first two books in this series, but I have been wracking my brain as to how to review this book without giving things away.

    As I was nearing the end I did not see how I could give it a good review as I was not happy with the choices of either heroine Jayai or Rebecca, both of whom had descended into silly female romance stereotypes.

    Then Roberts pulled a major switch and it was a wonderful conclusion, examining how we choose to react at pivot points in our lives.This includes the concept of alternative timelines, radiating out from an event and the potential consequences. When we can choose, do we choose the past or the future?

    All in all, a great read.

    I'd give six stars if I could! A very creative story!

    First, at some point in the book, I was like "Zhihao, you idiot! You are the dumbest guy I know!" But I kept reading. I'm happy I read until the very end because this story is so creative that it explores all the possible scenarios. And we do get our HEA (actually, two HEAs).

    This story is so good that I was dumbfounded (I pulled an all-nighter to finish this book). Congrats to the author! I wouldn't change anything!

    This stunning final book in the trilogy of Zhiahao and Jiyayi was all you could hope for and I enjoyed the series in it entirety. The characters were very real, the plot was fresh and held my interest until the end. Her stories are well written and have just the right amount of colorful details to make the stories come alive.
