I've read several books written by Stacy Eaton; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the first book in the Unexpected Series; Lexi has a great job, best friend who tries to get her to go out and have some fun; Alex lives in the same building and has seen her several times but doesn’t know who she is until a package is left on his doorstep that’s addressed to her; when he delivers it he realizes it the ones he’s been seeing.

Living life in the shadows after the death of both her brother and her boyfriend, Lexi copes by putting one foot in front of the other and blocking out the pain. Receiving a package of questionable contents is bad enough, but discovering that said package has already been opened by her neighbour bearing the same name, is beyond embarrassing. The story starts off on a hilarious note, bringing together two people who are meant for one another, but when threatened with loss all over again, Lexi backs away from emotional involvement. This novel is well written and fairly spicy in parts. Alex is a charming hero whose sense of humour draws Lexi in, and despite his past, he longs for the chance to prove to Lexi that they belong together. Lexi's fear of loss and abandonment is very real, and must surely be experienced by many military wives. I enjoyed this novel, laughing out loud in parts and feeling the pain as the tension built. Although part of a series this book is a standalone and comes to a happy conclusion.

I found this book funny at times but sad at others. Lexi has had loss in her life and is very afraid to live. She has her safe life that she lives. Alex gets her package in the mail and opens it, ooops. Lexi finds that she attracted to her neighbor and he is intrigued by her. This is a great book filled with humor, action, and its just a wonderful story. I could not put it down. I cannot wait for more from the series.

This is my first read of this author and I really enjoyed it. First, it seemed like a comedy, full of giggles. Then it looked like Lexi was getting into problems with romantic complications with her boss. I loved it when Alex's daughter Nica came on the scene so grown up! But when it turned into a thriller, I had to stay up until the wee hours of the morning to get to the happy ending. Recommended.

Unexpected packages can be fun to receive. Not sure if Lexi will agree, but Alex might! Will the travel that’s part of Alex’ job keep them apart? Enjoy the adventures, both the amusing and the scary ones!

Reading about the intense feelings in this book, hurt, rejection,  abandoned, loss, forgotten, I welcomed the trials, the emotional drama that follows it. Then there's the  unexpected passion from neighbors.
The chemistry between the Alex and Lexi is undeniable and unexpected. The heartbreak of the past lead to a bit of  wasted time. A bit of drama at work. Connecting with the characters may come easy in this story, following the plot might not be as easy,  it is all over the place, humorous, emotional, dramatic

What a beautiful story. I adored the story. I adored the characters. I adored everything about it. Lexi has had such a tragic past and she is only just coming back to life when she meets Alex - how they meet is hilarious, and is an ongoing joke throughout the novel! When she meets Alex everything seems to fall into place, but there are pleanty of bumps along the road. I thought this book was absolutely brilliant.

When Lexi Miller meets her hunky new neighbour she discovers that his name is practically the same as hers - he is Alexander Miller. These two have such a strong connection that it's impossible for them both to ignore. Even his daughter pushes them together as she can see how right they are together. Fate tries to pull them apart but after a brief separation they reunite. This is such a beautiful story of true love and extremely feel good.
