    I love love LOVE this novella soo much! If you like Rule Breaker you’ll love this novella too. We got Gabe and Dylan’s happily ever after (a very well deserved happy ending after the drama of Rule Breaker). I just loved to read about all the growth Gabe and Dylan had in their relationship. 7 years together is an amazing feat! I’m soo proud of my men.!!
    It was hilarious reading about all their adventures with the weeding planners!! Lily writes comedy so well I just love the humor of her stories.

    Aside from the wedding my other favorite park was reading about the other characters from the Mixed Messages series. Jude and Asa are still soo in love with each other and Harry and Ivo still not loving Devon as much of the rest hehe.

    I just loved the story a lot! Thank you Lily for this beautiful gift!

    Review: This is just pure fun. Dylan and Gabe are so funny together. I like that even though we are assured that their relationship is in no danger, there is a real issue at the heart of why they haven’t made it down the aisle yet. And I like that it’s clear that Gabe had been in therapy and that there was no shame in returning to therapy to help him with his nightmares. In addition to being a sort of glorified epilogue (which is fine by me—I thoroughly enjoyed it) this is also obviously a way to introduce the first MC of Morton’s new series. And Joe definitely seems like he’s going to be a fun character to get to know better—I mean even Gabe wants to keep him as a friend, so we know Joe’s a good guy.

    If you loved this series, I highly recommend reading this book. It’s lovely to see all these characters again, and to get some reassurance that they are all still happy and in love. Ah! Swoon!

    You can read this book without reading books 1-3 in the series, but I don't recommend it. What I do recommend is reading this whole series in order because it's totally worth it!     I gave it four stars because it's the least best in the series. If that makes any sense.

    When I heard that Lily was writing another book about Dylan and Gabe I was beyond excited. Rule Breaker was my first Lily Morton book 5 years ago and I fell hard for Gabe. I have since read every book, most more than once, that Lily has written and I never tire of her humour, snark and beautifully written characters. She writes characters that you take into your heart and want to be part of their family and friends and this book brought all the close family back together.

    We pick up 7 years after Gabe proposed to Dylan and although Lily has given us snippets and bonus chapters on them over the years what a joy to have another book. Dylan has decided after being engaged and living together for so long it’s time to tie the knot. As Dylan’s eccentric old aunt put it “their engagement has been longer than an elephants gestation period! But as Gabe frightens off one wedding planner after another Dylan starts to wonder if marriage is really what Gabe wants.

    The scene where they meet wedding planner Joe is hilarious not to mention a bit unusual, but Gabe likes him immediately and so the wedding is on.

    Lily developed an interesting character in Joe and Gabe started to unearth some facets of his life and personality which would make for interesting reading should Lily decide to develop his character in his own book, please.

    I enjoyed this book so much, I still love Gabe and we find out a bit more of his suffering as a child and how the effects still haunt him at times. Dylan is brilliant at calming him and so understanding of what some see as his difficult personality but Gabe has a beautiful side to him that is reserved only for Dylan.

    I have always said that Lily Morton is the queen of epilogues. Her characters inner monologues and laying themselves bare, putting into words the depth of feeling for their partner and their happiness and thankfulness for the life they have found when they thought they never would always brings tears to my eyes. This book was no different and Henry’s wedding speech also made me emotional.

    Just brilliant.
