Westwood University (Westwood Chronicles Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 25 ratings

I needed a change. A break from life In my hometown where I am forced to watch those around me have their lives come together, while mine—mine just stays the same.

Little did I know that my acceptance to Westwood University, in the mountains of Western North Carolina, would change my life forever.

It started off wonderful, until I found out that the campus was supposedly haunted. I made a stupid choice, ringing a bell that they said would open the gates of hell and inducing chaos.

Everyone hated me. Everyone told me to go home. Except for him.

I never expected to fall in love. Up until now I was sure that the supernatural didn’t exist. But he wasn’t human and I wasn’t crazy....

Where's my bell? I need a sexy vampire in my life

Where's my bell? I need a sexy vampire in my life
Alexandria James is a new paranormal romance author, but you'd never know it by her writing. I was sucked in from page one to a relatable world where vampire and magic exist. The heroine, Ezlynn, reminded me so much of myself in my early twenties, it was scary... She's logic driven, focused, and doesn't believe int he supernatural (although, let's be honest, she was team Edward in her twi-hard phase). All that changes when she rings a bell and literally opens the gates of hell... oops. It's all for the best because if not for that momentary lapse of judgement, our drool worthy hero (Phoenix) wouldn't have escaped. Let me warn you, if you have children, some of these chapters should not be read in their company because they are HOT. Draw you a bubble bath and enjoy those chapters by yourself or with your parter. I made the mistake of reading them on my lunch break. It killed my but I had to shut that book fast! All in all, this is a great paranormal romance that will hook you from page one. The writing is exquisite, the characters flawed and relatable. My only complaint is that it ends on a cliffy and that I have to wait lord knows how long for the next installment, but I have no doubt in my mind that it'll be worth it. 5 fantastic stars for this one!

I really enjoyed this book. The banter, the puns, the sweet relationship between Phoenix and Ezlynn. It was the perfect book for a nice morning of reading.

Ezlynn was desperate for a change, and her life changes forever when she enrolls at Westwood University. Who knew that ringing an old bell would result in everything she once thought she knew being turned upside down? Overnight she finds herself thrust into an unbelievable world whose existence she had previously doubted, and an unusual romance suddenly become a part of her new normal as she attempts to wade through a sea of lies, deceptions, and supernatural occurrences that she had once believed beyond the realm of possibility.
WU is both an action-packed novel that will keep you gripped until the final page, and a sweet paranormal romance that will have you fully invested in Ez and Phoenix's love story; and the author did a magnificent job of bringing to life this unusual cast of characters.
A definite must-read that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout, WU receives two very enthusiastic thumbs-ups from me.

Looking for a change Ezlynn enrolls in Westwood University, she thinks thing share odd from the start, but that is just the beginning! She rings the sacred bell and opens the gates to hell but in doing so she meets Phoenix. Things with Phoenix are extremely complicated but they are both willing to fight to make it work. I loved this book from beginning to end and would highly recommend it to other readers. I don't want to give to much away so you will have to read it and find out for yourself! I can't wait to see what happens next in Ezlynn and Phoenix's journey to overcome all the obstacles they are thrown and have to overcome!!!!!!

This book was pretty good from start to finish. A few slow spots but nothing bad. Overall an enjoyable story that didn’t take long to read.
