Here With You: A Small Town Second Chance Romance (A Willow Bay Novel Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 382 ratings

She chose loyalty over love. But he wants to give her both…

Emmaline Brown has spent decades hoping her ex would become soft in the middle (and hopefully bald)—anything to take away from his dashing smile. So, when she discovers the years have left him annoyingly intact, she’s less than thrilled. To add insult to injury, he’s the new manager of her family resort’s main competitor: which is right on Emmaline’s doorstep.

Miles McClintock lost everything in one honest decision, including his family’s honor and the love of this life. Ashamed and outcast, it’s been decades since he left Willow Bay in disgrace, but then family duty calls, and an opportunity to run The Kessler Resort puts him exactly where he wants to be: straight in the path of Emmaline Brown.

When Emmaline’s matchmaking niece finds a way to force them together, she has no choice but to use her managerial expertise to help her nemesis learn the ropes. But while Miles is keen to settle the past, Emmaline has her eyes firmly on the future—one that doesn’t include him.

He feels abandoned. She feels betrayed. Can love’s slow burn turn into a fiery passion that razes their fears to the ground?

I loved both of the characters but felt so bad that they lost 30 + years. I am glad that Daryl and Miles sort of reconciled their differences for their mother.

This book was a cute and quick kindle read for me. It has a bit of romance, family dispute, and friendship.

I really enjoyed reading this book, and I think it has many people who have been through similar experiences. Looking forward to reading the next book!

Emmaline and Miles were in love. He caught his father in a lie and their relationship didn’t survive. Fast forward 30 years and Miles returns to Willow Bay. Can they repair the damage from their past and rekindle an old love?

Ms Collins again weaves a tale of young love that can’t overcome family truths and how adults many years later cope with the truth and how that truth changes their lives. Its always worth the read to keep up with old friends and discover new ones.

What a beautiful second chance story. These two ended up going separate ways years ago, due to a decision Miles made which cost him his family and the love of his life. Consequently years later he is back, many things have changed, can a past be righted? Two people admit their feelings? Beautifully written.❤️

It took me a while to get into this book, and that wa no fault of kelly Collins, I was in a reading funk and still not fully back to where I used to read at least 3 books a week1

I loved Emmaline and Miles back and forth, will they/wont they relationship.

If you are an advocate for second chances, then this is for you! there was 30 years of hurt that they had to navigate through.

This is the 2nd book of 3, in the Willow Bay Novel Series, and sadly I had not read the first book, and felt that I missed a chunk.

These guys had been through a rough time, when Miles, who did the right thing, lost a lot of years together where age was a huge factor their 20 year old selfs did what they both thought was the right thing to do, whilst the 50 year old selfs realised they both didn't follow their hearts.

I absolutely loved Miles dog Ollie, who has a show fetish, made me chuckle, he was funny.

I love Emmaline's friends, they were her ride or die friends, the quartet wher there for each other, and dished out all the truths, when needed BUT were there in need of comfort, as well as a whole pie and ice cream from Crickets Diner.

I loved the small town of Willow Bay they all looked out for each other, whilst all seemingly getting on with their own lives.

I now need to catch up on Book 1, but will have Book 3 waiting in the wings, and I feel there could be more books from Willow Bay

A continuation of a story started in book one of this series. The characters are mostly new but several bit players reprise their roles in this story. The main character, Miles was a small character in the first book but come front and center here. The pages fly by in this book as well and lead right to the next book with hope that the next tale is as good as the last.

Kelly writes stories with a message, always different but always makes you think. This one was
that it is never too late to make things right but get there before you are at deaths door. Fortunately our hero and heroine have still got enough life in them to make things better. You will need to read the book to find out.
